    Nope. It will start off flashy like the PT fights then end up like the Vader v Obi fight in ANH when the fighters get exhausted.

    Aye. Maul vs Obi-Wan in Rebels is a top three lightsaber 'fight.' The other two are Vader vs Luke in Return and Luke vs Kylo.

    Yes, I would unfortunately. The key to actions scenes is variety and characterization. Make the fights about the characters and matter to the characters. The make the fights unique (case and point, Captain America: Civil War). You do those two things and you win.

    I still like my idea. A lightsaber duel through a very populated place. Lots of people watching and running away. As Rey and Kylo fight in the streets. The fight itself is moments of cool action mixed in with important dialogue. Would like Kylo to be on the brink of winning and simply cant go through with it and breaks down into a bowl of jello (not literal).

    If I had to watch an hour-long lightsaber duel, a large bowl of literal space jello sitting in the middle of a street at the end of it would actually pique my interest quite a bit! :D

    It would completely depend on the banter. I could see an extended lightsaber fight happening if the plucky Jedi with supreme defensive skills was toying with the Sith/darksider who just gets angrier and more incoherent as time goes on. ;)

    It would be hard to make an hour duel feel necessary, that a 10 minute duel couldn't do. Yeah, they could go that long, but what's the point? Filling that with banter, great, but what reason can one have to make it last that long, how can the banter have meaning, what can be said that couldn't be said in the first 5-10 minutes?

    Now, maybe a scenario where all of Kylo's loved ones are there. Chewy, Leia, Rey, FG Luke, the KoR, all tugging at Kylo from different directions. The good guys fighting the bad, and Kylo lashing out at all of them as they try to turn him to their side. That could be interesting, but even then, an hour seems long.

    I don't think that would happen. The Anikan vs Obi Wan was actually suppose to be longer than it was, but GL cut it.

    I personally want a round 2 of Rey vs Kylo, but not an hour long duel.
