Okay so it's been speculated that Darth Plagueis was the "father" of Anakin, via manipulating midi-chlorians to create life. Well in the Plagueis novel, he finds out about it from Palpatine that Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn found a boy on Tatooine who was "concieved by the Force." Plagueis thinks it was result of his master's meddling with the Force, that the Force itself was trying to balance itself and created this boy.

I have this theory that the "creator" of Anakin could have been the one and only Liam Neeson aka Qui-Gon Jinn!

In The Phantom Menace, after escaping the Trade Federation's attack ships, they conveniantly drive past Tatooine, so they stop there to make repairs. The closest settlement near where they land is Mos Espa, home of Anakin Skywalker. They just so happen to go to the Pawn Shop that Richard Harrison.. I mean Watto owns, where Anakin is an "employee." After bad negotiations, they leave without the parts they need, but they meet this kid. Why would they just trust this random slave kid? Because Qui-Gon was the true "father!"

After talking to Shimi, he knows she didn't do the deed with anyone, so he knew it was his doing. He was obsessed with the living Force, so he made something live with the Force!

Qui-Gon then tests the boy to make sure he did have control over the Force. He ran his midi-chlorian count and it was over 9000. Next he won the podrace, that no human could ever do.

Then once, on Coruscant, he defies the Jedi Council by saying he will train this kid. Why would he risk his place in the Order by training some random kid? Because it was "his" kid!

This could be another loony theory but whatever. Let me know what you think.

    Here, let's compare...

I have another loony theory. I think Darth Plagueis found the body of the First Skywalker in the Galaxy Far Far Away, who was actually a part of a crew from 21st (or maybe 22nd) century Earth that made their way (a la Interstellar) to the GFFA via a wormhole opened by the Great Hadron Collider (which stayed in one place as Earth and the solar system moved through the galaxy, rather than following it). They took this First Skywalker and cloned him, then combined his DNA with Shmi's to create a slightly inbred but not really Skywalker whose natural affinity for the Force would be magnified. That became Anakin.

    I mean, there's loony, and then there's LOONY! :D

Even loonier: This, by the way, could be the reason for my other fanfic idea, which is that terrorists on Coruscant are destroying layers of the planet, blasting down to the ground however many layers beneath the artificial world that has been built up. They are looking for the original human settlements on Coruscant. Whoever is spearheading this effort has gotten the idea that this happened nearly a century before, and is looking for evidence to prove his theory and, hopefully, to find the body and perhaps clone an army of dark Skywalkers.

    Well y'know, it's a seed for a fanfic. ;)

Now if QuiGon and Shmi would have first met in Episode 1 and QuiGon said to her, "Ok.....this.... is awkward....." Like Dr. Evil and Frau in Austin Powers 2 when they discover that Scotty is THEIR child!

Shimi knows who Anakin's father was it will really must have been bad that she could speak about it. Maybe it was a sith lord who later promised her that her child would go down a dark path then Qui Gon presence brought that memory back just saying.

She knows? Anakin technically didn't have a father.

Yoda: Vader, your father I am

I think its Plagueis, but I think the Plagueis book handled it poorly. It suggested you could insperminate a woman by meditating in a sweaty room with another guy. I found that highly dubious.

In my mind the best way to impregnate with the Dark side would be to locate a woman through the force that had an irregularity that best suited your needs, then to influence midichlorins as the baby was in gestation, until it caught on.

Doing it in a hazey, split second, seems dodgy to me, and not very "Dark Lord".

    :eek::eek::eek:
And on that day Darth Vader was born...
I'm of the camp that would like to think that Anakin was conceived by the Force ala the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ, but Qui-Gon and Shmi might have had a thing in the past. Or maybe Qui-Gon is the father and the whole "the boy has no father" is just an insult to the man who left her. Idk. It would be cool, but the whole Christ parallel would fall a little bit flat if he wasn't conceived by the Force (then again...).

I think without a doubt that Anakin was conceived by the Force as there really is no logic in Qui-Gon being the father apart from the fact that if this were true it would make the Qui-Gon character a grade A A-hole. Why go to a nasty sand ball of a planet, impregnate a woman and leave her there as a frieking slave without a care in the world? Then you find her with your kid and you still don't give a damn even knowing that your ex has a darn bomb inside her and that her creepy owner can blow her up for the most stupid reason if he felt like it? That doesn't seem like Qui-Gon to me. And I'm also sure that he would have not taken the councils desision lightly of not training Anakin if apart from knowing Anakin was the chosen one, he would have known that he was his son as well. Qui-Gon was a rule breaker and if this had been the case, I'm sure he would have left the order and taken his son and trained him to fulfil his destiny rather than leave his sons fate to whoever or whatever the council wanted to leave in care of Anakin.

Mission, one-night stand (or long term romance but leaves before he knows), and then comes back a decade later seeing a surprise. I agree, it would be a grade-A Jerk thing to do, but it was an interesting theory. Also, in Legends (Idk if this is canon or not anymore) Anakin wasn't born on Tatooine - he (as a toddler) and Shmi moved there after they were sold from a Hutt to Watto. And Qui-Gon DID try to save her, he just failed.

Why would that change how he viewed the Council's decision? He was going to ignore it in the first place and train Anakin. What would change if the Chosen One was his son? And add on to all of that, who had to know?

All of that being said, we agree on the fact that he's not the dad.

Qui-Gon wasn't going to ignore the council my friend because in PM he told Anakin that he was forbbiden to train him. These words would make no sense if Qui-Gon was going to ignore the council and train him anyway. Thet's why I said that maybe the choice would have been different if Qui-Gon had known that Anakin were his son.

And was the scene that he said he'd just take two Padawans before or after? I honestly can't remember.

He didn't say that he'd take two padawans. When the council comented that he already had a padawan Qui-Gon told them that he would take Anakin as his aprentice because Obi Wan was ready and he had nothing more to teach him. Here's the scene:

I believe George Lucas aimed at misdirecting everyone. He has stated that elements repeat themselves in the two trilogies, kind of like a mirror, but with different outcomes. Compare the two confrontations between Vader and Luke in the OT, and Anakin and Dooku in the PT.

Luke fights his father in ESB, was overmatched, and lost his hand. He fights him again in RotJ, uses his anger in defeating his father(confirmed by the Palpatine's content), cuts his father's hand, and is ordered by Palpatine to kill Vader. He refuses.

Anakin fights Dooku in AotC (with Kenobi), was overmatched, and lost his hand (half of his arm too). He fights him again in RotS, uses his anger to defeat Dooku, cuts both of his hands off, and is ordered by Palpatine to kill him. He is reeluctant, but proceeds.

There is an obvious theme in the PT, where Yoda and Windu repeat the statement that the Dark side uses lies and deceit. Palpatine knows everything about Anakin. He knows about the prophecy, his midichlorian count, his fear and anger, and his "immaculate" conception. What if Palpine made up everything about the story of Darth Plagueis? (remember that the Plagueis book has not been accepted as official canon.) For all we know Plagueis's apprentice could have been Palpatine's master, or he could have never existed.

The theory of Count Dooku being Anakin's father is not new, but has died away because of the popularity of fans pushing for the return of Plagueis. The fact is, there has never been true confirmation that Plagueis existed or that Anakin was born of the force.

Luke was given the opportunity to kill his father, in order to replace him as Palpatine's apprentice. What if he was destined to get this opportunity of following in his father's footsteps? What if Anakin killed his own father (unknowingly, maybe be all involved parties), in order to replace him as Palpatine's apprentice?
