    Good Evening fellow Star Warriors

With the upcoming of the new Star Wars Movie Trilogy it's time to set the bar low and decide wich of the first 6 Star Wars Movies is the worst.....

This way we coul easily say that "The Force Awakens" will be definitely better than the.....................

P.S. Both Ewok Movies won't even make this cut, "The Battle of Endor" and "Caravan of Courage", thei're that bad and we do try to keep a close competition in here.

I voted for "Phantom Menace" but i personally think "Episode 1" and "Episode 2" are equallty Really Bad, while "Episode 3" is Bad, on other hand the old "Episode 5" might the greatest movie ever made.

Well...I think that Episode 1 has enough redeeming qualities to put it ahead of both 2 and 3...So I'm voting Episode 2. Episode 2 is the worst.

TPM is (dare I say) the best of the prequels

The editing was just terrible but it had a lot of great stuff in the story as well as the Pod Race and Darth Maul.

It was the pacing and the editing that made it fail.......

See The Phantom Edit for a good showing of what good editing could have done.

I actually watched it the otherday...I was watching it from the reflection of the window of the guy watching it in front of me on an airplane....So, no sound and reversed and doubled a bit (double layered windows). No joke. It seemed somehow better that way! It was a long flight. That guy had no idea I was watching haha!:p

Haha! Was gonna say some of that same stuff. (good points about TPM) But got scared. I also really liked the Quigon/Watto negotiation scene.

I like all 6 Star Wars movies. All of them are good in my opinion.

But my least favorite would be ANH.

"The Phantom Menace" had great stuff like Little Anakin, Darth Maul and Qui Gonn; BUT the story was very, very thin, the Naboo sequences were heavily subpair, all the Tattooine sequences, Pod Race included, don't have enough quality to be in a SW Movie. Probably the most important moment in all the Star Wars history, the finding of Anakin was awkward and with a poor narrative work.

I like TPM story. In my opinion was very good.
My favorite part of the movie are Tatooine and Coruscant scenes and battle on Naboo.

Also really liked Qui-Gon Jinn ( maybe my favorite jedi ), Padme and Watto .

It was really entertaining movie as far as I am concerned.
( never understand why some people do not like it ).

that is quite a tough one as all of them have good & bad point (yes even ESB) but in the end I went for AotC as the whole naboo part just did not feel right & like it came from a separate film . Plus I had read the novelisation about two weeks before & it was a good read so I got my hopes up & then saw the film & it just didn't seam to be as good

Hmm that was me didn't read and clicked something, since Empire is my favorite that was the first pick;):D can't change it sadly I can only change the initial question but then, but imagine the uprising...

But tbh we had all those debates over and over and in the end it doesn't matter. We don't need to kick those movies that are on the ground already.

I think my biggest disappointment with the PT, besides it being a film-making wasteland, was the fact that the whole point of the story—the transition from Anakin to Darth Vader—felt shoehorned into the last half of the last movie.

So RotS if safe, if for only that reason. I felt like TPM tried to give us a backstory in Qui-Gon and the slow rise of the Sith that, while ultimately a big useless waste of time, proved somewhat intriguing until the subsequent movies made sure it wasn't relevant.

    So... AotC? AotC.

AOTC is actually my second favorite Star Wars movie.
That movie really make me a Star Wars fan ( and it was my second SW movie I ever watched )

I like almost everything about that movie.
My favorite parts are Coruscant chase, Obi-Wan vs Jango Fett, Arena and Geonosis battle.

Also I do not see what is a big deal with Padme and Anakin love story. I do not find them any different than Han and Leia, and their love story.

    This is exactly right.

For me, TPM is definitely the best of the Prequels, and among it's problems was that everyone was too young. There is an air about the PT that GL just kind of played around until he realized it was almost time for the final bell so to speak, then rushed everything at the end.

But if you look at TPM, specifically from Jar Jar's POV, which you have to understand GL expected to go over well and be popular, is the Hero's Journey character for that film.

I recently rewatched the entire saga (except for ROTJ, that is coming up the day after Thanksgiving) with my wife, and it gave me a fresher look at the PT from her perspective. AOTC is a slog to get through, makes little sense because it's all over the place and full of "well, it's explained in a novel/comic/cartoon/etc" moments. She was laughing in embarassment during the scenes where we're seeing Anakin and Padme fall in "love", and she fully checked out on it after Anakin slaughters the sand people and Padme goes ahead and "loves" him anyways. Can't blame her. Everything that comes after those sequences is just as stupid. When ROTS ended, she looked at me and asked "wait, what about Darth Vader? Is that all we see of him in the S&M suit? Just moaning?"

    I LOLed.

TPM just feels like something totally separate from the main saga. I know it's been said before, but it feels like a different, stand-alone movie. But for some reason, it's Anakin's origin. It's like Lucas tried to work forwards toward the OT, and then somehow tie in all the loose ends, instead of looking backward from ANH and asking "How did we get here?" and "Who is Anakin Skywalker?". I would be very hesitant to describe Anakin as the main character of the PT, which is just bizarre.

Of course, I'm very pleased that J.J. took up TFA because he wanted to answer the question "Who is Luke Skywalker?".
