    Another modem era fan here although I did watch some of the Tom Baker & McCoy era episodes. Personal favorite doctor is Tennant & favorite episodes are Blink, Tennants last episode & the Jacoby/Sim Master episodes

    Oh, without a doubt! I thought it was beautifully made and performed.
    That's cool! I didn't know you watched the show. Tennant was a great Doctor, and the those were some nice episodes.

    I started with Eccleston in college and watched up through parts of Capaldi, who I actually really like but I just got so worn out of the awful stories and all the attention for Clara. I couldn't do it. I didn't want to watch the Adventures of Clara featuring The Doctor.
    Even that last season with Matt Smith drove me bonkers with how Clara was everything. Moffat just got obsessed with the character at some point.

    I'm ok with his departure,no disrespect to those who like him and his portrayal of the Doctor but he was not to my liking.

    Not cause he's "old" but he just never hit the notes for me to be up to what I expect.

    OK so who do you want to be the new Doctor I am sure we can come up with lots of great choices maybe even a women.

    Personally I would go for either Sue Perkins or Ben Wishinshaw (Q in the latest bond films)

    He's a time traveling alien who traverses time and space, saving planets and people and time. He often takes human "companions" to show them the universe and for the audience to have a pretty face to look at. :)
