    Hi everyone,

I'm new here and wanted to get into the Star Wars mood. I was curious to know if anyone else bought tickets to the Star Wars marathon that AMC is putting on in their theaters starting at 1:00am on the 17th? I'm in SoCal and will be at the Ontario, CA showing. Am I nuts to try and watch all the movies in a single day? I thought it sounded like a blast so went for it. Anyone else?

I'm too old and creaky to sit in movie theater chairs that long. Plus, I don't want to pay to see TPM.
I think I'll show it at my house, maybe have an all-day housewarming party or something like that- maybe serve blue milk and Wookie cookies!

Seriously, I have seen some very delicious and cute snacks people have come up with. It might be fun to try to make them.

Also, welcome to the Cantina! I've only been here a few months and most people seem quite friendly. Hope you like it here.

Hope you enjoy it. Sounds miserable to me. I'll watch a movie a day for the 6 days leading up to TFA. I've gone to a few oscar movie marathons that they run, and I've never been able to do more than 3 of the 5 films.

I will be there in San Diego at AMC all day.....lol

I am in because you never know the NEXT time they play the originals on the BIG screen. Which is why I am sitting all day... lol

I am going to take the chance just to see A NEW HOPE, EMPIRE and JEDI and the PT....

Its offered at Cinemark too and for them it starts at 3AM with no reserved seating in my area. So I was thinking a Star Wars Marathon is a great idea, in theory. In reality I would have to go probably 4 hours early to wait inline so 11:00pm or so then there is 6 movies before Force Awakens which starts at 7:00pm the next day, all while having been up since about 8:00 am the previous day. I decided being up 35 hours before I see Force Awakens wasn't a good idea.

Edit: Of course I could get in some sleep during the prequel trilogy. :p

It sold out within 5 - 10 minutes of the tickets going on sale.

I am surprised that AMC didn't say this...LOL

The Star Wars The Force Awakens Marathon ticket does not guarantee you a seat or entrance into the theatre. FIRST Come, FIRST served. The line will begin on Tuesday.

Now wouldn't that be da chit

Same for me. That's just too long in the theater. Wish they'd show one a week. I feel that would be really reasonable, and it would spread out the hype.
