EVENT Anyone have special plans for the day you see TFA?

Well in terms of special plans I have a asthma check up health comes first after all in any situation, my girl is getting back & gold streaks in her hair, both families are going on a day trip down south, I'm planning a surprise for her a hour before the movie I hope I get the answer I want, I'm going to buy a new Millennium Falcon keychain some thief tried to rob me on the way back to my car, I'm going to fill in a TFA wordsearch my friend who works at a local superstore give me if I win I win a years membership at any cinema in my county. What a day.

 

I'm seeing it at midnight so after that I'll catch a few hours sleep and then go back to the theatre

Wearing my Kylo Ren outfit all day, then I meet up with my family (who, to my surprise, has decided to dress up as well) and we'll get dinner at this great local Mexican restaurant. Then the movie. Afterwards I'm gonna party like its 1999

 

Things are different this time. This group requires baker work hours to be considered and the schedules of parents to be juggled! The 12am showings have turned to 12pm and staying up late has becomes sleeping in!

Still, no crowds means no lines filled with spoilerish chatter (spoiler free so far). I guess the 12 hour delay means I'll be experiencing TFA the same time as U.S. audiences. Not long now...

 

I'm lucky cause my finals ended earlier than most. The whole week is gonna be good for me with lots of Star Wars! Hosting a marathon on Monday and Wednesday. Monday we're doing the prequels, and Wednesday we're doing the originals; Wednesday is going to be significantly more fun than Monday. The theater we are going to, the biggest screen in our state, has been sold out since the night the tickets went on sale. Luckily, two friends and I were able to get ours! I'll be checking the line periodically throughout the day on Thursday, since I live closest to the theater, and then we'll all head over to wait whenever a good amount of people are there. We want to get the best seats possible! Likely have Panda Express for dinner, and then go into the actual theater for the 7:00 showing whenever they let us in, probably around 6:15. Witness greatness, I can only hope, and then head over to Denny's after to freak out over the film and drink a well-deserved chocolate milkshake. The next day, my eleven year old brother is skipping school so we can have our own marathon, since he'll be in school during the one with my friends. We have a 3:50 showing at the same theater, and I'll be going with him, my sister and her friend, and one of my friends who was out of the country for a year and was not able to get tickets for the Thursday showing. Witness greatness again, I can only hope, and then make plans to see it as many times as possible with as many friends and family as possible. Damn, this is seriously one of the most planned out weeks of my life.....

 

I'm taking my 9 year old son, who is pretty hyped up (nothing like his dad though). We've been counting down, with a ritual every morning when we high five and say the number of days left. Can't believe we could say "Three!!" today. There's just something magical about expecting a new Star Wars movie. And now I can pass on what I have learned.
He is going as Kylo Ren, I'll go casual, which in my case means a T-shirt from my 150+ metal bandshirt collection \m/ or maybe a SW shirt since it's a special occassion.
We'll go early to let it all soak in but we live in the most boring town in the world where 99% are into sports and finer culture (such as Star Wars and metal) isn't that big. Still, surprised the premiere sold out. But I don't have to worry about tickets for further viewings if it should come to that.

 

I'll be getting up early, donning my Leia costume (based on the one from the main line of new Marvel Star Wars comics), and having my sister or bro-in-law drive me over to the theater to be there when it opens. I'll get in line and be in line all day until they let us in for the 7pm showing.

So, probably lots of game playing on my tablet, maybe bring my sketchbook. We'll see.

 

I'll go dark on the internet (16th) and helping my girlfriend decorate the christmas tree and then hang out near the theater with my best friend, eating some pizza and then The Force Awakens at 8 pm.

Monday: Empire Strikes Back
Tuesday: Return of the Jedi

 

I'm going to get trimmed a day before the movie is out. I look freaking terrible...

Spend Wednesday morning filming/editing my stuff for the 'Road to Episode VII' vlogumentary, got work at 2 pm, finish 6 pm. Get home, eat dinner, get to the cinema for 7:00-7:30 pm because I'm anticipating a queue for seating. Wait for the other 7 members of my party to arrive. Try not to spoil it for myself while waiting.

 

Absolutely! I've already had my mom taking pics of me working on making the belt, and I plan to have pics taken while we work on the rest today. I'm also thinking of making a video once I get home to talk about how I made it. (I won't be home until the 27th, though; I'm taking the train to go spend a week and a half with family and see Star Wars - where I currently live, there are zero movie theaters)

 

Gonna celebrate the occasion with Kanan: First Blood #9 on the 16th.
Be a nervous wreck at work.
Then home, sleep in advance, bathtub, make popcorn, pack something to drink, be at the cinema an hour early because they have no seat asigned tickets.

And after: whatever the hell I want. I took the day off

 

1. Walk into work in the morning humming the Imperial March. Conquer all. Force Choke (mentally) anyone who tries to dampen the mood. Leave work to the tune of the main theme.

2. Arrive at my daughter's figure skating class, where she will channel the Force to master the waltz jump. Leave skating, grab a quick bite, and head directly for theater. Get in line.

3. Aquire Milk Duds and drinks.

4. Aquire seats, sit back, and smile.

 

This is just the best start of the day.
