Thanks! I just finished 52 Vol 1., and I loved it. I already had a passing familiarity with Steel and Montoya from The Return of Superman and Gotham Central, respectively.

My journey into DC has been a blast. So far I've read Crisis on Infinite Earths, Infinite Crisis, 52 Vol. 1, Flashpoint, and the DC Rebirth Special. My cursory knowledge of DC characters has been enough to get me by, with a few wikipedia summaries in between. So much reality-bending crazy goodness.

While Spider-Man is my favorite superhero bar none, I've found that my personal preference has been leaning towards DC these past few years. I haven't been able to get my hands on any new comics since moving halfway around the world mid-2016, but nothing Marvel's been putting out from what I've seen has really caught my eye.

Sure, I'll check out the new Runaways comic when I get back because I was a major fan of it's original run, but I'm not that teenager anymore. The connection might be gone. And I'm going to check out all the recent Black Panther comics, since it's been years since I've read some. But then there's the whole Hydra-Captain America...thing.

DC on the other hand has Batman for days with the Dark Knights: Metal crossover (...is that still going on...?) and Super Sons, which sounds totally cool and looks like a fun ride.

On the TV side, I'm really excited to watch The Gifted and Runaways when I can, and I'm too hyped to watch two full seasons of Agents of SHIELD when I can. However catching up on all the DCTV shows* (except Gotham. I hate Gotham) and all my other CWTV shows (Jane the Virgin, iZombie, The 100) are Priority #1. And Krypton! I'm excited about that too. ...I should probably watch Legion and Preacher eventually too.

However, that doesn't mean I can avoid the bad either. Inhumans and Powerless (which I had COMPLETELY forgotten about) should be on the list as well.

As being into Superheroes, like both, but little on DC, want them to do well in movies. Have favorites in both DC and Marvel. I'm into Superman, Batman, Captain Britain, Union Jack, the Punisher, The Flash, Spiderman and Hulk and Captain America and Atom.
