Apoclyptic showdown between Jedi and Sith and First Order and the Resistance

Discussion in 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' started by Star Wars Episode X 2027, Apr 29, 2015.

?

Do you want the final conflict in Episode IX rid the First Order and SIth once and for all?

  1. Or have them fight another day and another generation in Episodes X-XII?

  2. Or just end the threat in Episode IX and have another enemy for Episodes X-XII?

I think Episode IX will have the most spectacular battles in all of the SW films with a big armageddon-like showdown between the Jedi and the Sith on land and/or even The First Order and the Resistance in space both with huge armadas of ships going up against each other in deep space then perhaps ending with Luke's death a la Obi-Wan in ANH.

Perhaps some First Order remnants or Sith may survive this conflict in Episode IX setting the stage for Episodes X-XII where perhaps the kids of Poe Dameron and Rey(if they get together) take on the First Order remnants or Sith. Episode X of course could come out as early as 2021.

The Sith cannot be removed from anything. The Sith are just essentially angry Jedi - just the opposite side of the coin. Anyone can go down the dark path. And someone in the galaxy at some point will find the history of the Sith. It's just a matter of when.

Even if the enemy is totally defeated in Episode IX. There will be some threads open to do Episodes X-XII like "Will Poe Dameron or Finn get romantically involved with Rey and have kids?" And If a New Republic is established by the end of Episode IX. There could be some new threats like planets or systems not agreeing with it and forming planetary confederations against the Republic a la Legacy of the Force or an invasion from the Unknown Regions or outside the galaxy a la Truce at Bakura or NJO.

The final battle at the climax of Episode IX will have to be even more spectacular and challenging than the Battle of Endor from ROTJ. There will have to be an ever bigger armada of hundreds or thousands of ships from all over the galaxy from both sides The First Order and the Resistance or how about ships from allies from other parts of the galaxy like the Mandalorians(if they side with either the First Order or the Resistance) or the Hapans. And of course there should be a Braveheart-like battle on the surface of a planet or moon between hundreds of Jedi Knights and the new Sith Order and all their colored lightsaber blades similar to the Clone Wars in the prequels. Also it would be awesome in Episodes VIII or IX the Sith get their own armada of ships much like the Fate of the Jedi book series and battle the Jedi and their starfighters and warships in deep space. Or perhaps a conflict like that would be with another Sith Order like a lost Tribe of the Sith could be saved for Episodes X-XII???

I don't think we need to top Endor's scale as long as the stakes of Ep IX are strong enough. We have no idea how VII and IX will play out or what the overriding conflict will be. I think the scale can be somewhat limited (obviously there will need to be climactic battles) if its in line with the central conflict.

If say the central conflict were one of heroes turning to the dark side and threatening the future of the New Jedi order, a smaller battle might be appropriate. If the central conflict is the Sith taking over the planets of the galaxy through brute force, then a broader battle might be called for.

We don't even know that the Sith still exist. Our new villain "Uber" is perhaps not a Sith at all. The dark side doesn't necessarily mean "Sith"...

Rey will defeat Kylo Ren in Episode 9 and cut off his hand after he cuts her hand off in Episode 8.

    Guess who's back!

I picked the 1st option cause I don't see the First Order destroyed in Ep 9. I think it will continue till at least Ep 10 where they could DISCOVER a emerging threat to the galaxy.

I hope the First Order continues till Episode X too and they discover a new emerging threat to the galaxy for for the SST. I love your opinion DNASL.

By the way would that new emerging threat in Episode X be the Yuzzhan Vong????!!
