    I am going to say no.

    We here consume copious amounts of Star Wars. The slightest reveal is amplified.

    The general public has seen the BTS reel so only got a glimpse of them out of context.

    I don't think so. I don't think (right now) that they'll play a pivotal role in the story and thus, their intended purpose (as marketing device) probably will not be harmed at all

    On this forum - definitely... Just like all other SW-related pieces of information. Outside of the forum - not really. We got literally two images, a children's book cover and a short piece on the official Star Wars website. It's not much.

    I wouldn't call it overexposure. Not yet at least. It's just the fans' positive reaction, they're hyping porgs up.

    They are the anti-Ewok - absolutely adorable, (probably) unobtrusive re the actual plot, and creatively designed.

    I can't wait to buy the plushies!

    While I still have my doubts on whether the Porgs will work, I cannot say that we have been overexposed by them. We only had two glimpses in the BTS footage and a cover of a children's book. No toys yet.
