Artists You'd Like to See on Marvel's Star Wars Titles?

Thus far we have had some great artists working on the Star Wars titles at Marvel. They have definitely brought their A list talent so far, and we will undoubtedly see more talented artists(and probably a few not so talented ones ) as the years go by at Marvel. I'm curious to see who some of the other comic book readers here would like to see work on a Star Wars title.

You can go wild as far as the artists go, how likely they are to actually work on a Star Wars title in the future is irrelevant, and they could be just guest cover artists, even only doing variant covers and so on. Since they may only be doing a cover for instance, feel free to include artists from backgrounds outside of comics if you think it would make sense. Also feel free to include old favorite artists from the Dark Horse days as well. Also, if possible include some examples of their work in your post.

Additionally, this should go without saying, but I'll say it anyway, please don't include any artwork that is NSFW.

I'll go first, these three artists while definitely not what one might expect when one thinks of Star Wars, would definitely bring an interesting take to the Star Wars universe.

First up is Tim Sale, primarily famous for his painted style of artwork, most notably seen in a number of Batman mini series. He also did the art for the Heroes television show early on. I'd love to see his take on a noir style story set in the Star Wars underworld, or even a nice cover showing his take on the patrons of the Mos Eisley Cantina.




Next up is Michael Cho, he rarely does full comics, but more often does commissioned art pieces and the occasional comic book cover. He has a retro feel that I would almost describe as Americana in some of his pieces. I'd love to see his style applied to a nostalgia inspired Star Wars cover.




Third is David Aja, one of my favorite artists at Marvel, mostly known for his work on Hawkeye and Iron Fist. I think it would be fun to see him take on a more action packed Star Wars story, also preferably set in the underworld.

I have other artists on my wishlist, but these are the three artists that came up off the top of my head when thinking about unique takes on Star Wars. What artists would you guys like to see show up in some form in the new Star Wars comics at Marvel?
