So, as we all know Clone Wars is one of few canonical SW sources. And we all know the rumors circulating around, Lupita and Gwendoline. Personally I would like to see Ahsoka in EP VII 'cause shes interesting female character and "jedi". She have many traits of her master, and created nice dichotomy with Anakin. It would be great to see her interact, maybe teach Anakin relative, knowing what dark side done to her master. I would see her in a role of unorthodox master of next generation Jedi.

On the other hand Asajj didn't impress me very much. A failed sith who never accomplish anything special, that went rogue. If she is in EP VII I would like to see her in a role of "grey" Jedi balancing on the edge of light and dark side. We don't really need another use-to-be-bad-now-I'm-good-Jedi.

I do not believe there is a place for them in the sequel trilogy. Maybe in rebels but too much time has passed for them to realistically appear. I also think they should keep TV characters out of it for sake of the general audience who will only get confused.

I Agree completely, yet I would add that in the event that they do add in such characters hopefully it will be in strictly a short or cameo fashion

    @Dr.WhoCares

Can't really agree with general audience who will only get confused argument. It all depends on how particular character is introduced. In EP VII by definition will be many, many previously unknown characters. And yet all of them will have there place in universe, history, personal traits, enemies, friends, agendas etc. The only difference with for example Ahsoka will be fact, that she has ties to certain characters from OT and PT. I'd say it works in her favor.

In regard of too much time has passed, just look on Yoda and Ben. Time gap between EP III and IV didn't harm them much, right?

If they wanted to slip in an elderly Ahsoka, at least they should not explicitly say she was once the padawan of Anakin Skywalker, since people who have only seen the live-action movies would then be confused (they can't recall any padawan of Anakin's in Episode 3!)

But because of the passage of time, I don't think Ahsoka has much to contribute with in Episode 7. Rather let her meet Darth Vader in Rebels and let her story be resolved there (probably with Ahsoka somehow dying, but not necessarily by Vader's hand).

I'd really rather not see either of them. Ashoka is somewhat annoying and Asajj is somewhat overrated IMO.

Asajj and Ahsoka held their own ground in serialized scripts but I'm not sure they'd work in a feature.
I don't want Asajj being relegated to hench-woman status like CD was in the clones and revenge...

Not a chance for either. We will see why the Galaxy is not a place where either character could exist at this point.

You underestimate screenwriters power! But srsly, There's a lot of time gaps between each episodes. Not everything could be addressed, explained and shown in movies. People would be confused only if character isn't introduced in proper way. But you can say that about any old/new character.

My God, I hope that we can avoid the cliché-est of every possible "conclusions" for Ahsoka. And oh, she can contribute. Just have in mind the galaxy state after RotJ. Ahsoka is one of the few alive (and really powerful) force wielders, that had actual, proper trening. She known pretty much every major character who lived BBY. And she was padawan of Anakin.

I just think that after ending of CW leaving her in abyss is a waste. Personally I can't find a reason for her not to be in EP VII, besides the I don't like the character one (which is valid and understandable argument).

A cameo of either of these characters would be great if only to see them live action. Maybe even a plot delivery device for what has been happening over the past 30 years and a bridge to the other parts of the saga.

Probably it is more logical that the story of Asoka is told in Rebels, perhaps with a proper story arc ... having said that, I liked the character in TCW and I'm not against her apparence in ep VII, but I think it is hard; IMO her significant past would be too heavy for a simple cameo and is there place for a bigger role??? I don't think so.

I'm almost certain Asoka will be featured, and more than a simple cameo.
She is one of the most well developed, interesting female protagonists
in the SW universe and it will be a shame not to use her. She is also
a great hook for the new girl audience to relate to.

You are right it's a great character. Let's hope they find a great way to use her backstory.

I'd be happy with a Ahsoka cameo of sorts, only if she was voiced by Ashley Eckstein, though. she has really embraced everything Star Wars since joining CW. :)

I doubt either will show up, I would be open to Luke meeting one of them after RotJ but before Ep VII. I don't think they would fit in very well, but you never know. If the rumors are true, Lupita will be Asajj. If that's the case, I figured Christie would be Ahsoka. But once again, I wouldn't want them to appear in the movie. Comics, REBELS, novels, and video games are okay, but not in the next major film. Maybe a spin-off.

I like the characters, but that doesn't mean I want them in every piece of Star Wars I watch. They have their own place in the Prequel/Rebellion era. It's not realistic for them to be around and I wouldn't want them oversaturating the franchise anyway.

I want to see Ventress in Episode 8, but not 7.

First the too old arguement does not work. Yoda nor chewie age at a human rate.

Ventriss I could see in the bounty hunter movie because that was the direction her character was taking. Though I will say Asajj was immediately what jumped go mind when they cast Lupita.

I think either could make it. Perhaps we will see them with Gwen christy as imperial knights or inquisitors.

Please no. They already ruined Ahsoka with her hideous action figures. Let her be remembered as she was in the Clone Wars.

They started her on an interesting story arc. She was framed but even after cleared she didn't accept reinstatement. They are setting her up as disillusioned with the jedi. Finding them not as noble as she thought.
