i would have heavily bet she was goner once she came back last season and the title of the season finale, "twilight of the apprentice" makes it all but official in my eyes.

You do realize that "the apprentice" could technically refer to Darth Maul, right? Because I don't see much of a future for that character, whereas there's still room for more Ahsoka Tano (who has been surprisingly absent for much of the season).

It seems like the title is so blatantly obvious that they're going to pull a bait-and-switch. I don't think they want to go with "Qui-Gon's Noble End" all over again!

Darth Maul could be the apprentice the title is inferring about, but he has also been a master and wants to be referred to (per the trailer) as Old Master. Ashoka I feel fits perfect with the title because she never got to be a Jedi Knight since she left the order and makes sense as a title for a showdown with her and Vader.

Technically she was named Jedi Knight and then she immediately refused to stay in the order. So she is not an apprentice anymore, even if Vader could still call her 'apprentice'.

I think that when they created the whole 'Rebels' characters they had to imediately think how to justify why Ezra and Kenan are not in ANH. Have all of them die in the last season? No, I don't think so.
Ashoka is more the solution for this problem than a problem herself.
The force will show her that Vader is going to kill Palpatine and end the Empire and the whole crew will stop fightinh him and let Luke do the job.

IT just hard to see them go off in the sunset in the SW canon after rebels. will they show in anthologies or in the ST? I think Ahsoka can die in a movie or have her leave like in CW. she didnt want to be in the Jedi council so she can go off in the wind. I can see Kanan Ahsoka die though. I think they would have to close there stories if they dont continue on. if they arent in the OT they can die for the greater good.

May the force be with you always...

I should also note that FPJ said that the show could go on for as long as six seasons (possibly even more), and thus far in the first one and a half, they've shown three whole years of the conflict. So the show will probably go into OT territory and possibly a little after that (IE: The Battle Of Jakku).

I've been biding my time with this one. At the beginning I was confident that Ashoka will die by the end of Season 2.

But considering how little we've seen of her this season. I don't think her death will have that big of an impact (emotionally) if they do it this early.

I still believe she will die at the hands of Vader. Just not in season 2.

So I bet 200 credits that Ashoka will live this season.

Twilight can be synonymous with a person's final hours but the more classic definition is the the time right after sunset, when there is only the faintest of light. So if we choose to look at the time of day related definition rather than the more pop culture one than it would seem to refer to... Ezra. It's common knowledge that things are going to get dark for him. But it also seems like it could be a very "Return of the Jedi" type title with a dual meaning. Ezra being on the edge will probably be used as a cliffhanger. We won't know if he's gone to the dark side or just came very close.

It's an ambiguous case, but I don't think they killed her. I believe that what Dave Filoni has said is that her character arc on Rebels (and by extension, the character arc that they've built up since The Clone Wars) is done, but it doesn't seem like they actually killed her off. If they did, there would have been a lot more of a dramatic focus on the scene (because if they did kill her off then and there, it would feel like a cop-out). My guess is that if the character is used in later stories (and given that she's getting a novel, this will probably happen sooner or later), her story arc going forward will become increasingly independent of Darth Vader.

I'm in favor of awarding the credits to those against the thread's bet, but it isn't my call.

Oh, I'm not so sure. This is a very "point of view" kind of thing. I don't know that this bet will ever get definitively resolved.

It has NOT been confirmed. Dave Filoni only wore a t-shirt; he could be trolling us. We have not seen her. Regarding recent rumors,
whoever settles the bet has to think about how to interpret Ahsoka returning as a force wolf.

Exactly. Even on the podcast we all agreed "at least 5 seasons". Oh well, more room for a NEW series! :)
