EVENT Audience Participation Video: The Cantina Reacts To The New TFA Trailer.

    Hey there, kids!

    Today, I thought that we could do something a little different for the sake of community, sportsmanship, and a whole bunch of other faux-inspirational words that people rally behind. What I thought was that, since we know the final trailer is imminent (and we won't have to suffer through any more "the trailer comes out December 18" jokes), we could take advantage of our knowledge and take part in the self-indulgent ritual of a "reaction" video. From there, we would take a collection of reactions and make it into a less self-indulgent video collage. The end result would be something like this (but it would truly be a video we could call our own):



    Word on the street is that the new trailer will hit on Monday, October 19, 8:00 PM EST. (UPDATE - It's specifically said that the trailer will show up during the half-time show, whenever that is; the game will start at 8:30 PM EST.) If you need help finding out what Time Zone you live in, and what time the new trailer will hit from your location on the globe, this should be immensely helpful to that end. So you can either record yourself watching the trailer at that time when it hits television waves, or you can record whenever you watch the trailer online. But make sure that it is the first time you see the trailer - don't fake a reaction!

    Here's how this will work, in five steps:

    1. Post here first saying that you are in for this, and I will invite you into a conversation later.
    2. Then, watch the trailer for the first time, and don't forget to record yourself watching it! (You don't need to have a recording of the trailer itself - just your reaction to it.)
    3. Save the file as "[Your Username] - TFA Reaction.WMV". (This part is important! We want to know who is reacting in each individual shot.)
    4. Upload it to a source that I will provide in the conversation.
    5. We'll come up with a video shortly afterward.

    And that should be that! You'll get the opportunity to do this board proud and bask in the hype that this film will generate. :)

    (Just to be clear, this is not a thread for discussing the trailer itself. I will be making a thread for that when the time comes.)

    I'm not sure, but I think that if you can't record a .WMV, it can be converted into a .WMV from another format.
