Not sure about the rest of you but I'm trying to be very selective in what I read about Episode 8, at least until I've seen TFA. I do not want to see/hear that Harrison Ford was seen having dinner in some London restaurant the next couple of months. Not that I want Han to die or that I haven't stayed away from TFA rumors but nothing is fact yet.

I dont have access to the numbers on our main site but I do know that when we have an exclusive spoiler our views skyrocket. the 2 first podcasts we did contained some super spoilery stuff...and we had a bunch of listeners because of it...

anyhow i only mention it because it looks like a lot of people dont mind that sort of thing. Either about episode 7 or 8. with all of that being said, we dont know much about the story of TFA...and if Disney really wanted to keep casting a secret until ep. 8 comes out then they would. so I think its safe. :D

I'm just not interested in news about Ep. VIII and Rogue One because my mind its focused only in TFA, too much information in my opinion and we still don't know if TFA will be a great movie. So, i don't want to care about the others movies for now.

If you don't want any spoiler be VERY careful if you see a Star Wars music CD hit the stores! That darn
"Qui-Gon's Noble End" from the Phantom Menace music Cd still has lots of us fans fumin more than Mustafar!!!

I'd love to see a option to filter out Episode VIII news on the frontpage, that would be great.

Though, as said earlier, I think Disney will be very careful with revealing anything like Ford being in VIII, before VII has been released.

I know we all want to be there opening night, I know we all want to see it as soon as possible. But for those of us who can't, what are your plans for staying "spoiler free" until? It's gonna be pretty difficult. I guess I'll bury my head in the sand and buy my ticket with my fingers in my ears.

    How about you?

Simple. The Cold Turkey App. http://getcoldturkey.com/

I'll set it so that for the majority of my waking time* I cannot access any Star Wars related site such as The Cantina, The Force.net, and the Star Wars subreddits. On my phone I'll have to be more vigilant because my original website blocker just blocks Chrome outright. However reading forums on a mobile device is a pain and it won't be worth reading.

The app is also great if you have a hard time with procrastination and studying. I usually turn it on for the three days before my next exam to make sure I get stuff done. It's free but you can donate if you're up to it.

    * Time slots such as 2-6am are not worth blocking since it's guaranteed I'll be sleeping during that time. You can't remove blocks while a block session unless you uninstall. I'll make sure to have "open time" so I can remove the blocks after the 17th.

Well, I'm old, I'll turn off my hearing aids. :p

Seriously, though, I already know I'm free on the 17th so I will just stay home and not look at the interwebs. At all. I don't think the Cold Turkey app will be enough. (Though thanks for the tip, my kids could use that)!

It's turning out to be such a phenomenon that I won't be able to look at any of my normal websites- I follow the finance world and there were THREE Star Wars themed articles on MarketWatch Monday. There's no escaping it. You could get a spoiler from The Economist or National Geographic, I swear! I listen to public radio and it's full of SW nerds, so that's out, too. No twitter, either.

We have a cabin in the mountains. That might be the best place to be.

I'm going to read a book or two, probably not SW related so I can distract myself, but I may break down and read some Journey To stuff, maybe run through Clone Wars again at night while I'm working in the shop downstairs, dog walks, whiskey, holding the PT DVDs in my hands and sobbing, unable to stick them into the machine, overeating, unnecessary naps, contemplating buying a VHS player, Rebels, and playing with the toys with my nephew and nieces.

Regardless of when I see it in the theater, I'm about to go dark. I'm giving myself a week to share in the excitement of the trailer, but after that, I'm leaving Star Wars behind for seven weeks - at least as much as is humanly possible. I'll miss this forum, but I've learned as much about movie as I want to before seeing it. So starting this weekend, no more spoilers, no more speculation, no more watching the previews - and especially no early reviews. The last thing I want is for someone else's opinion to color mine before I've had a chance to see the movie.

I'm going to do my best to follow Mark Hamill's advice, and just forget about Star Wars until the release.

Then, once I've seen the movie I'll decide just how much I'm going to dive into the spoilers for Episode 8.

You reminded me that I am going to set up my Star Wars figurine collection the week of the movie. I have about twenty of those Micromachine ships and over 40 opened 3.75" figures to pose. It'll take a day to get set up right but it'll be a good distraction.

Micro Machines! I have a ton of those but I can't find them every time I go down to see my parents. When I do they are coming back with me! The Action Fleet, the tiny figurines, the tiny ships, the transforming heads, all of it.

Fortunately, I've got tickets to a 12:01 am Thursday 17th December session (Australian Eastern Standard Time).
I only need to worry about spoilers coming from Philippines, Taiwan, France, Italy, South Africa, and a few other places, most of which are non-english speaking, and anything which may come out of global premiere screenings.

I have carefully planned that I will be past due on my cable, internet and phone bills by December tenth, effectively having my communication devices forced shut off by the time the media decides to spoil The Force Awakens for all the hopefuls.
In my car, I will avoid the radio by having my old The Phantom Menace soundtrack revved up in my CD player. For those of you who don't remember, The Phantom Menace soundtrack song list listed "The Death of Qi Gon" as a song title and came out weeks before the movie did.
As far as family, friends and coworkers go, I'd be surprised if they spoiled anything, as all three groups as well as my now ex girlfriend have put on No Talking Star Wars bans on our conversations indefinitely because I have already driven them all mad with a never ending barrage of rumors, speculation and fan theory I've been digging up over the past few years. Lol, not all of them share the same decibel of enthusiasm as I have.

    Well that's it! Spoiler-Proof!
