    Mark doing Luke during that whole duel with Vader in Empire is my favorite performance in the whole trilogy.

    Honestly, a lot of the performances are what makes those movies. Seeing the original scripts and how those actors added to what was on the page is a big part of what made those films so great. Changing lines to make things more believable, whole scenes, facial expressions, it really comes out as they were written more wooden than what they became and how much the actors added much of themselves added to those characters.

    Sometimes, the wooden aspect of the lines came through. And sometimes - as in the case of Harrison Ford in "A New Hope" - having an actor to personally change a line or two didn't help one bit.

    Although probably not enough to garner inclusion, it should be noted that Sebastian Shaw did an incredible job as Anakin Skywalker - truly one of the best scenes in the entire saga.

    But it's Mark. Mostly becuase I have seen/heard him in other things, yet he is forever Luke. I know any actor would HATE that, so I'm sorry, but not.

    Yeah when you talk about quality acting here, would have to go to Ford, naturally charismatic which helps make him be more believable.

    Mark did a good job taking Luke from simple, whiny, farm boy to the kill-your-father-Jedi.

    But overall my vote would be for Harrison Ford.

    He did a good job with carrying captured blasters, intercepting Lando & providing info to Artoo about the hyperdrive involving the millennium falcon, that's great without him saying a single word.

    It's not easy to decide. I loved Alec Guiness as Obi Wan as a boy. But we will see what Ford was capable of as Han when we -maybe- will miss his charismatic Solo performance in EPVIII.
