Guinness has such great little moments in ANH, quick looks and expressions that suggest far more than he says on screen, which have far more meaning after watching all of the movies. That expression on his face when he watches Leia's message: concern that a vital leader of the Rebellion has been captured, or fear that Vader and the Emperor are dangerously close to learning the truth of Leia's identity? That moment of hesitation before saying Anakin was murdered by Darth Vader, reluctance to potentially set Luke on the path of revenge, or sudden cold feet to tell Luke the truth?

I voted for Palpatine. Would vote for Harrison Ford, but I'm not sure how much of Han Solo was an act.

I think everyone was fantastic acting wise but Ian McDiarmid doesn't get enough attention for his acting in my opinion. When I first saw ROTJ, he was just absolutely menacing and scary. He nailed Palpatine. Everything from his voice to mannerisms were perfect.

I'm the only one who thinks Peter Mayhew was the best? He is Chewbacca. Other actors use their toungue, Peter uses his entire body, and face to create his character. Chewy seemingly has the same expression to a casual viewer, but he puts a lot into his character. Warrik Davis, as Wicket, for a little kid he was also, very good.

For me it's frank Oz. Creating a believable character the audience genuinely cares about only using a puppet is incredible. So similar to Andy Serkis in LotR Frank Oz beats them all.

Frank Oz as Yoda, without a doubt.

“Adventure, heh. Excitement, heh. A Jedi craves not these things.”

Another one of my favorite lines when he’s fighting R2 over the flashlight: “MINE! OR I WILL HELP YOU NOT!”
