Best Acting Role Goes To..........

Adam Driver. Great acting / great role.

Bad guy or not he's my new hero.

 

That might be the best performance I've ever seen from Harrison Ford. Part of it could be he had some of the strongest Dialogue. But man, he really blew my mind.


They were all really good. I don't think I disliked any character.

 

Adam Driver did a fantastic job. But I already knew he had that in him. Daisy Ridley was a total surprise. Great performances all around--probably the best of all seven movies--but hers stayed with me the most.

 

It's between Driver and Ridley, both were magnificent.

I'm giving the edge to Ridley as this was her first major acting credit, whereas Driver has already proved his chops with stuff like Inside Llewyn Davis.

Nobody gave a bad performance. Nobody.

 

Agreed. Nobody. Daisey and Driver were absolutely fantastic. Best acting out of the whole Saga.

 

I should vote Driver, amazing.

But my heart won't let me... I care to much about Ridleys character to push aside her acting so I will vote Ray

 

Not sure what film people saw...but Daisy was really flat. For a lead, she didn't have the acting chops or charisma.

It is between driver, boyega and ford. All did really good jobs with very different characters.

I'm going to have to save Driver who did an amazing job overall. It was almost Daisy, but Adam had that scene with Han where he got a chance to really, really act and he pulled it off magnificently, so my vote goes to him.

 

Adam Driver, for sure. I don't like bad guys, I have no fascination with any of them (for example, I couldn't care less if Snoke=Plageuis, ). But Wow, he was impressive. He was interesting. I liked Ridley but didn't really care for everything they did with her character. And I will admit that the only part that made me tear up was when Kylo was carrying Rey away and Finn yelled "Rey!" That was memorable. So they all did well, but Driver was by far the best.

In fact, the acting carried this movie. I have a lot of problems with TFA, but the acting was absolutely superb.

 

I'll say John Boyega and Oscar Isaac. For me, their relationship at the beginning was the best! When they meet up at the end you could tell they are going to be the new Luke and Han. As far as Daisy Ridley is concerned, to me they were too interested in trying to impress us with all her skills and her toughness that it didn't really leave much acting for her to do. I can't honesty remember one line of dialogue she had, other than the bit about knowing Han Solo and the Falcon.

 

I loved Driver. Not the whiny little brat Anakin was, but he is a troubled, emotional man who is torn between dark and light and who is to tell what is right or wrong?
He had some great chemistry with Ford and I felt the conflict within him. The duel with Daisy was awesome. Apparently he ignited the spark in her, which made her realize she had the force in her all along.
Overall, I thought the new cast did great. Harrison was great as well. Carrie was okay, but didn´t have the personality she had 30 years ago.
In the last shot, Mark had a great moment with Daisy. It was emotional and exciting at the same time. He apparently knew she was coming and they´re getting ready for something he would rather wish he could avoid.
Damn, I´m so excited for episode VIII.

 

Driver hands down. Then Mark Hammill. The amount of stuff they can convey with the nuances in their facial expressions is astounding. Despite that I didn't like Luke only being in the movie for 30 seconds, his acting during that was awesome. Then a near tie between Daisy and John. The only thing I didn't like about Daisy is most of the time when she is not speaking, like listening to Han or John, she has this sort of empty blank stare that made it look like she was daydreaming instead of paying attention. And I think it is purely her natural neutral face. Like some people have a resting biatch face, she has a resting blank face. But it helps that she's gorgeous

OMG you're right. I can't remember her dialogue either. On a side note I always am a little disappointed by the fight scene. Kylo is obviously strong enough in the force to throw people like rag dolls. Why bother with a saber fight when he literally could have just force choked/crashed/throw them? Also he throws Rey's body like it weighs nothing but then can't pull a lightsaber? Really?
