    Top 3:

    1: A New Hope
    2: Revenge of the Sith
    3: Return of the Jedi

I love return of the jedi because it helps wrap up the OT and tbh most of Star Wars. It is a well written ending. Revenge of the Sith, in my opinion, is a beautiful film. Great planets, amazing quotes, and a lot of build up which helped transitioned into the Empire and the Rebellion and such. I love ANH, it is such an amazing film to me. Lucas’s debut for Star Wars was amazing. The music, the acting, the plot, it all was put together to start an amazing universe. I also love Luke Skywalker and Ben Kenobi. And what about threepio constantly roasting R2. LOL!

Hey @Lukestarbucker great to see another ROTS fan....I too love that movie. The spacecraft geek in me loves the opening sequence, which is one of the finest space battles in the whole saga IMO.

I think ROTS nudged ROTJ out of the top three for a while thanks to being Ewokless (and, latterly, Jedi Rocks-less). But now there's been three more episodes for people to cogitate and four years (almost seven in TFA's case!) is probably enough time to let folk see that The Last Jedi is a superior film to ROTS in spite of the advantages that ROTS might have had going for it. Any way it makes sense for Episodes VII and VIII to start taking votes away from the prequel films but not take them away from ROTJ, or any of the OT films.

Well said. Most likely because it contains things that mirror people's own lives.

    For me it's TLJ/TROS/TPM

Nothing I love better than political intrigue and the evolution of the human spirit/character. :)

    Pretty much.

    There's two ways things go:
    1. I'm looking at a hero whom I can relate to, and because I can relate to them, I can understand them, so I'm invested.
    2. I'm looking at a hero whom I can look up to, but can't relate to, and because I admire their impossible qualities that I can't achieve, I'm invested.
    That is:
    1. Cheaper by the Dozen
    2. Superman
The world we're in now is a post-90's world.
A world that crams item (2) through the throat of item (1), which thereby converts (2) into (1), ditches the unattainable idol for the flawed hero at every chance they can get, and translates "idol" into "someone I can look up to because they're already like me".

My only real beef with that is that this redefinition of "idol" doesn't redefine it; it removes it. It's not an idol if you can touch it.

    Cheers,
    Jayson

Personally, I've always been in favor of the film"The Phantom Menace". Not because this is the most spectacular and cool movie from the saga. Just because he's so sweet and sentimental. And Anakin is still a harmless and promising boy there. I recently watched the entire SAGA on the site for watching movies, again attracted by the atmosphere of Star Wars. I remember being a little dude who wanted to buy a blaster and a lightsaber (lightsaber)There is nothing like nostalgia when you can discuss it with someone who thinks the same way as you.

Yeah a lot of people aren’t in favor of TPM. I can see why. But I actually, like you, am a TPM fan. I liked Maul, Qui-Gon, seeing Young Obi-Wan, and of course sweet and caring Anakin. It is hard to describe seeing Anakin as a sweet child while knowing what he will become

Thats also kind of the beauty of it. That is why I like TPM

i completely agree i expected rots and esb to be leading
it's my favorite movie, it's visually stunning, emotional, and full of everything that should be in a movie. I sometimes watch tcw s7 (last 4 episodes) in order with rots and every time I hear maul explain everything I get shivers, and then everything he says happens, and it's like I'm seeing it for the first time again. its such an emotional roller coaster.
btw this is how I watch rots and tcw together:

I'm not quite sure that's the same website as I used last time, but it looks correct

Yeah the transition from Anakin to Vader really is an emotional rail coaster indeed. That is well said. And when CW added S7, it added so much more emotion to it all. Especially with Rex in order 66 and what you mentioned about Darth Maul

Do you know that strange feeling when watching movies from cassettes or CDs? I recently lost my SW disks and was very sad. When I moved, I could leave it somewhere in a desk in an old apartment or even in my girlfriend's old house (we started living together). Of course, I can watch them at any time on some site for watching movies online, for example, but this feeling will not be so nostalgically magical. I'd rather be lying in my grandmother's house by the old TV, watching stupid cartoons in between her shows, and waiting for me to finally record a Star Wars movie on TV-any of them - on a floppy disk...
