    I think the Dowutin are one of the best new additions to the Star Wars. I loved the look, size and sheer mass of Grummgar in TFA and his short story "Bait" by Alan Dead Foster. The Ninth Sister in the game Jedi: Fallen Order is pretty cool too. I know some of the lore in the Fantasy Flight Games in Canon and some isn't. I assume the Dowutin is because of it's recent addition. I think it's interesting that they never quit growing and just get taller and much more massive as they age.

    That's a good question!

    My gut reaction is to say that the ones that seem to show up in other media would be the best, but that would likely be the Abednedo, and I really haven't found myself liking them yet.

    If I had to go off of influence and spread, then, I'd probably say Porgs.

    From character design... ehh. I find a lot to be desired in most of them, still. I guess this guy looks pretty neat, reminds me of a mindflayer in D&D.

    But I don't even know his name, nor do I even remember him in the movie (I looked up ST aliens just now to find him).

    I'd like to see aliens get more prominent roles, and not just be a brief cameo for a blink and miss it scene. I think that would help make them more stand-out.

    The Dowutin are also neat, and I like their character design.

    I have to agree and say the Crystal Foxes are my favorite species in the ST as well. They related to the plot and are very unique.
