    Mine too. I liked the prequels for what they did with regards to world building and describing the political context behind the rise of the Empire. I loved the aesthetics and set designs as well as the costumes. Even if you do not like the story, there is still things that are visually pleasing. Look at Theed palace with its inspiration taken from Byzantine architecture as well as stylistic movements like Rococo and Baroque.

    ESB, and Rogue One are definentally 2 of my favourites. TROS is my favourite of the sequals alot because they put alot of things in the movie that I didn't expect, also ROTS is another favourite of mine.

    Yeah I can't really do this so I'll just say "all of the above" here. It's a cop out answer, but I can say with certainty that there hasn't been a single theatrical release I haven't enjoyed.

    But if we're talking made-for-TV movies then I can say with certainty that I dislike both Ewok films.

    Now see this is a difficult one for me because "Best" can be subjective;

    I chose ANH as my FAVORITE primarily due to nostalgia as I saw it in '77 and it had an impact on my life that remains still to this day, but I personally can't rank any movie from the OT one above the other. To me, the OT either as a whole, or broken into individual movies is/are the best of the 9.

    I’d say that the Original Trilogy are the three “best” films, but to make things more interesting, I’ll talk about my favorite film from each trilogy.

    The Prequels:

    Revenge of the Sith: This movie arguably has the best soundtrack out of any of the Star Wars films and it also has some really cool action sequences. I’d say that up until Sidious goes full-on crazy Sith, Ian McDiarmid’s portrayal of Chancellor Palpatine in this film is his best performance (That’s saying something as he is one of the best Star Wars actors IMO.) In all honesty, I might even prefer McDiarmid’s portrayal of a seemingly benevolent politican than his portrayal of an evil emperor. The film also lacks most of the problems that the other two prequel films were filled with and it actually has a few poignant moments, like this one:

    The Originals

    Empire Strikes Back: I genuinely believe that this is the greatest film of all time. I can’t think of a single thing wrong with it that I would ever change (except for maybe getting rid of that incest smooch and reverting one or two of the line changes from the Special Editions.) The pacing is perfect and there is not a single useless scene or sub-plot around. (The same can’t be said for, well, half of the other movies.) The special effects in this film have arguably aged the best out of the entire Original Trilogy and the soundtrack in this film is also top-notch. The scenes with Yoda on Dagobah give the best explanation and depiction for the Force and are probably also some of my favorite scenes in the saga.

    The Sequels

    The Last Jedi: I think that this movie stood out the most from any of the Disney-era Star Wars films. It feels like the only one that never worried about doling out fan service left and right (not that that’s necessarily a bad thing) and the few moments that did go out of its way to call back to other films were done so with purpose to the overall storyline, rather than just halting for a little callback. The cinematography was absolutely brilliant with so many beautiful shots and clever imagery or visual gags. In my opinion, it also had the best writing from the Sequel Trilogy and the best acting out of any of the Star Wars films period.

    [Shout out to Solo: A Star Wars Story for being the best film outside of the main Skywalker Saga.]

    That’s all folks.

    I appreciate the prequel trilogy because it has the level of technology that I expect from a space movie and some great battles. OT of coruse is the main trilogy and I liked a lot more the remastered version. ST only The force awakens.
    But I prefer Rogue one over Solo.

    I think Revenge Of the Sith is the best movie. It is so emotional. I can watch this so many times and i will still get emotional at the Order 66 scene. The lightsaber battles are just amazing and the skills of the actors are so good, i would PAY to watch these guys show off their incredible lightsaber skills. Also, it is really important for each character. You just can't skip this movie.

    Hard to choose favorites in SW...but for me, it's between Rogue One and Rise of Skywalker at the very top. I like that R1 focused in on a tragic, smaller story and managed to connect so well to where it all began. Loved seeing the gritty reality of the heroes that had to get their hands dirty in order to give hope to the rest. RoS was a blast from start to finish. It was a satisfying ending to the trilogy and made me appreciate TFA and TLJ more. I hope we get more of those characters someday.
