Whatever the big plot twist is, I'm sure it will be related to Rey and Kylo somehow

I think TFA portray's Rey as a much stronger and determined character then Kylo/Ben. The end/climax of Last Jedi will see Rey's strength and determination getting the better of her and leading her to do something very "un-Jedi" (push an attack on a defenseless Kylo or Snoke, put people at risk to kill her enemy etc....) while Kylo finally goes against Snokes influence/with his nature. Setting up this dynamic for Episode IX

Rey is killed, which is the catalyst for Ben's journey back to the light side.

Rey is Leia's, and not Luke's daughter. Bens sister.

I've thought about that too. I just don't know how well the audience will accept Han's murderer as a good guy. I know it won't sit well to me. Although I like the idea of Rey turning given how she was portrayed as so perfect in Ep 7.

"I am your father." Is one of the great plot twists and memorable moments in movie history. To make Obi Wan be Luke's father cheapens that scene because it makes that statement false. It also turns the two most powerful people in the GFFA at that moment both seem like chumps. The Obi Wan as Luke's Dad theory is an interesting thought and provides a way to redeem the PT, but it would be at the expense of the OT, which I am not for.

Here's to hoping Anakin really is Luke's dad.

Here's my idea. When Vader was redeemed at the end of ROJ, the force was in balance for the first time in millenia. That is why it was in a "dormant" state and was "awakened" in TFA. It was Luke's attempt to train a new Jedi Order that threw the force out of balance.

The main take always are that too many Jedi can throw the force out of balance (as has been suggested by many) and the son of the man who put the force back into balance, destroyed that balance. Luke understands this and that is why he has exiled himself.

Luke will have developed extreme asthma after breathing in noxious chemicals while burning his dad’s body at the end of ROTJ. Now he needs an inhaler if he gets too worked up.

The idea of us expecting a plot-twist I find rather fascinating. Why is because when you consider ESB obviously the internet wasn't around. Thus, many of the fans didn't know what to expect. And heck, I remember talking to someone who saw ESB in theaters telling me that a lot of people didn't know how to react to the big twist. Heck, ESB had mixed reviews. Obviously, it has been evaluated once more and is one of the great sequels.

As for what the plot twist for TLJ could be. It could be a number of things. Rey's heritage; the truth about the dark side or even Snoke. Honestly, knowing Rian Johnson it is going to be quite a few. Or perhaps misdirections. For instance, I could see us learning a bit more about Snoke, saying that he is a Force-sensitive who clearly worshiped the dark side. Specifically, the first dark side users. And as such has gathered the Knights of Ren/ Kylo Ren as a means to try to take over the galaxy.

Maybe, this could tie into Palpatine in some shape or fashion. Who knows. But the twist could be that Snoke isn't just a follower; rather, he is the threat that the First Jedi faced long ago or something. Because I feel like a lot of people are overlooking the fact that Rian Johnson and the story group chose to include Ach-too and the First Jedi.

Why even bother to include them if they are not going to be used? As such, I see a lot of the twists spanning from that aspect of the movie. Whether or not it will make sense, we'll need to wait and see.

What if neither Luke or Rey are THE LAST JEDI from this movie.
    - Rey not being a Jedi yet and Luke having turned his back on fighting and the Jedi ways.

What if: LEIA is The Last Jedi.
She will be the one that will face Snoke at the end and goes out a little like Obi Wan did in ANH. Sacrificing herself for the sake of her son.
This might be the event that triggers the redemption of Ben, and both Ben & Rey will face and destroy Snoke in Episode 9.

The mystery surrounding the fate of Leia in 9 (She will be in... recast or not... cgi or not... nope she isn't in the movie anymore) sounds like the death of Leia (or her "joining the Force") was one of the best kept secret of The Last Jedi and it had to be managed after Carrie Fisher's death.

The Force Tree on Act-To is the source of Rey's vision from the saber. In fact I think the saber was stolen from the Force Tree. I believe there are more than just books there.

I believe it will be the turning of Ben Solo to Kylo Ren. That would be an amazing scene in my opinion.
