Richard Vernon: You're not fooling anyone, Bender. The next screw that falls out will be you.
    John Bender: Eat my shorts.
    Richard Vernon: What was that?
    John Bender: Eat... My... Shorts.
Richard Vernon: You just bought yourself another Saturday.
    John Bender: Ooh, I'm crushed.
Richard Vernon: You just bought one more.
John Bender: Well I'm free the Saturday after that. Beyond that, I'm going to have to check my calendar.
Richard Vernon: Good, cause it's going to be filled. We'll keep going. You want another one? Just say the word, say it. Instead of going to prison you'll come here. Are you through?
    John Bender: No.
Richard Vernon: I'm doing society a favor.
    John Bender: So?
Richard Vernon: That's another one right now! I've got you for the rest of your natural born life if you don't watch your step. You want another one?
    John Bender: Yes.
Richard Vernon: You got it! You got another one right there! That's another one pal!
    Claire Standish: Cut it out!
    Richard Vernon: You through?
John Bender: Not even close bud!
Richard Vernon: Good! You got one more right there!
John Bender: You really think I give a blast?
    Richard Vernon: Another! You through?
John Bender: How many is that?
Brian Johnson: That's seven including when we first came in and you asked Mr. Vernon whether Barry Manilow knew that he raided his closet.
Richard Vernon: Now it's eight. You stay out of this.
Brian Johnson: Excuse me sir, it's seven.

i know that, and since you know Brendol, you also know Hux's mother was revealed to be a kitchen wench.
which means who knows what was really going on with that family.

and as i said, Brendol probably really is his father, but that's not going to prevent Hux from his megalomaniac aspirations.

Well Brendol IS Armitage's dad...I think a great real twist is that Hux has bided his time under the heel of the FO and then either usurps power or goes to the resistance to offer everything to them in return for all the power, similar to to the disgraced captain from the POTC movies, which is something I was hoping for a while ago .

She's a character from Greek mythology and the protagonist of an ancient Greek tragedy by the same name written by Sophocles. She's the daughter of king of Thebes, Oedipus... and his mother Jocasta, both of whom don't know about their true relationship. When they find out the truth about their relationship and the fact that Oedipus killed his father, Laios, for basically no reason, Oedipus flees Thebes and blinds himself and Jocasta commits suicide. You think that her tragedy was over? Wait, there's more!

After Oedipus, Antigone's brothers, Eteocles and Polynices decide to rule together, what ends in a usual matter - both brother fight for power, Polynices gets expelled and organizes an event called "The Seven Against Thebes," during which him and six other kings of Greek city states attack Thebes. They lose and both Eteocles and Polynices get killed during the siege. New king of Thebes, Kreon (Jocasta's brother,) decrees to not bury or mourn Polynices. Antigone defies the law and eventually gets locked alive in a tomb. Kreon has change of heart but it is too late - Antigone has already hanged herself in the tomb, Haimon, Kreon's son and Antigone's fiancé, stabs himself and Kreon's wife, Euridike, also kills herself.

I'm not saying that such a possibility would lead to such a ridiculous amounts of violence and unneccesary deaths, but such a reveal would be shocking (in a bad way,) horrifying and a bit disguisting. Incest is a topic that should not be touched upon in Star Wars.

Hence the term "Oedipus complex" for a man or boy who is attracted to his mother. The same for girls used to be called an "Electra complex", after another character from Greek mythology, but I think that term is no longer really used.

Oh, those ancient Greeks! They had some fun stories!

I really thing all you guys are just going along with the flow and we should be searching for really big PLOT TWISTS, come on just think outside the box.

Here go my suggestions over Episode VIII Plot Twists:

    - Rey: "Luke i am your mother!" (to obvious)
    - Luke: "I See Dead Jedi" (the only guy who has ever watched a Jedi Ghost on cannon movies - is he mad?)
    - Snoke is Trump (amazing stuff)
    - Maz is Plagueis (highly doable)
    - Hux is the Wizard of Starkiller Base, actually manipulating Snoke's strings behind the curtain
    - Phasma is Kahn and comes back with a revenge (he was only playing a girl to distract Hux)

there's a really fun book (debunked, i think) connecting this story to the reign of Akhenaten.

even if it's not true (or perhaps unproveable), it's really interesting and i definitely recommend it for anyone interested in mythological storytelling, etc.

for the curious: Oedipus and Akhnaton: Myth and History
the book focuses on the dynastic battle between the two sons of the king and also the cultural incest prevalent in Egyptian society, etc.
    a short and fascinating read.

When I was in junior high school I used to be very much into Greek mythology. I even attended a Greek mythology competition twice and twice my group got 2nd place. With time I forgot a couple of things (I needed to consult Wikipedia while writing this sgort piece,) but mythology still interests me to an extent.

The only books you need to read to understand The Greek Mithology are Ovidio's "The Metamorphoses" and Hesiod's "The Theogony"
(PDF versions are at large through the Internet)

Of course Homero's "Odissey" is a beautifull book and a wonderful adventure.
