I like that picture. Is that concept art for an upcoming game? That wreck looks like a different version of the Republic Attack Shuttle (one of my favorite ships).

Do you know which game was canceled?

 

I hope they vastly improve SWTOR, I temporarily left it over Lord of the Rings Online. When I go back, I want to see a big change

 

I'm hoping for something like Kotor, but with a vastly improved combat system. The combat system was the only flaw in an otherwise perfect game. Maybe make it a little more Mass Effect-like. Bioware has an exceptional writing staff, so I'm expecting to be blown away in that department. Also, I'm almost positive you will have companions in this game. I wanna see interesting and complex back stories with each one. If this game gets a sequel, hopefully save games will transfer like dragon age and mass effect.

 

I have very little hope of this ever actually happening, but back when KOTOR first came out, I was in the middle of reading the New Jedi Order novels and I'd always imagined a game set in that era: "Knights of the New Republic" (very original, I know).

We've now been told that the new canon will not be venturing into the Old Republic era anytime soon (TOR is considered Legends, even though it is still receiving support/updates). My new hope is that the Bioware game will take place post-ROTJ and allow us to play as either side in the ongoing galactic conflict.

 

I like that idea of a post ROTJ game. I would like An MMO called Star Wars: Order or Resistance where you play either The First Order or The Resistance. The story should start with a Cut scene of the battle of Endor. when the Rebels win. Then the game starts your character 5-7 years later where your character will help fight in the continuing galactic conflict. The gameplay and levels should span the years between ROTJ and TFA.

 

I have a slight connection to an Insider in that industry and he said that the games get discussed in frequent conferences and Battlefront seems to be somehow connected to Rouge One(Rouge One will feel like a Battlefront movie in the sense of a dense experience of war #realism.), Battlefront is at the moment in a playable alpha build that the testers are able to play, future DLC's will be released with, between and after the new movies. That is all I got. Its all pretty obvious - well I did my best.
I kinda get the feeling that Battlefront will play a big role in the new canon.

 

I was really hoping they would be able to make a canon Old Republic era Star Wars game. If that timeline is off limits it looks like I'll have to wait to get the official back story now. Maybe some day they'll get a stab at it.

 

Honestly if they just tweaked the story a bit to the original Kotor game and made the graphics next-gen I would pay exorbitant amounts of money for it.

 

I would love to see a remastering of both the original Kotor Games packed into one "Remastered" version of the game. Similar to what the Homeworld Video Game series has recently done with Homeworld 1&2. Would easily pay $30-40 for this.

 

Yes I would love a KOTOR 3 but in the days of Darth Bane because in that series there was a grey Jedi and you could play someone like him. Darth Bane was made canon in Clone Wars so maybe.

 

Evidently there has been some chatter in the last few days or weeks about Bioware doing a KOTOR 3 game. I don't know if it's wishful thinking on some people's part or if there's steam behind the rumor. Here is some video.

 

Those rumors might be the new SWTOR expansion. They are basically turning the game into a single-player RPG... online with multiplayer fun.
