Would you be most excited about a Blu Ray with all the deleted scenes or would you prefer to have a TFA special edition with them included with the movie?

The extended version. I believe JJ had to cut off alot of scenes because of the time-constrain. An extended version may let some scenes make more sense and flow better.

This film must have dozens of deleted scenes.

Here's some of what I'm hoping for:

    Poe getting off Jakku
    Finn and Rey snowspeeder chase
    Constable frigging Zuvio
Phasma, Hux, Ren getting off Starkiller base

Oh I would LOVE an extended edition. There seem to be so many scenes cut from the movie.

I don't think there will be an extended edition, just deleted scenes... but I expect we will see:
    - Unkar Plutt on Takodana
    - Maz talks to Finn after the battle

I'm fairly confident that these were both filmed, and some of the last few things to get cut from the film.

I got the impression there must by dozens of cut scenes. There were a few spots where it was quite noticeable that something was cut out.

Deleted scenes is enough for me. I don't want an extended version because of pacing issues.

I'm pretty certain there is about an hour of stuff that could've been in the film but was understandably cut.

    I want to see:

    - The Korr Sella / Hosnian Prime reaction scenes.
    - Maz Kanata on D'Qar.
    - Poe and Rey meeting on D'Qar.

Both, and I believe JJ had mentioned that there are between 10-15 minutes of "REAL" deleted scenes .
    --- Double Post Merged, Dec 19, 2015, Original Post Date: Dec 19, 2015 ---
    The interaction would be like:

*Poe wakes up, looks around...he can't find Finn*

    *THANK YOU FN---Finn..."

    *smirks*

*takes off his jacket because it's too hot*

*Poe Damerom takes one last look at the TIE FIGHTER and SARCASTICALLY salutes The TIE FIGHTER*

*pauses for a second, takes his jacket off, and runs away*

THEN WE CUT TO FINN waking up in the desert .

That reaction reminded me of Spock's planet being blown up .

That scene and the way they glossed over it was very reminiscent of JJ's Star Trek movies. That scene is just not a Star Wars moment at all.

The most "Star Wars" this movie became was Rey's time on Jakku, Hux, and Poe Dameron's character ... MAYBE I could include Kylo Ren but he was purposely kept too vague so I have no comment on that as of yet .

This is a 2 hr. 15 minute movie that really should have been close to 3 hours long...

It seems that TFA was.rushed for the world released and the edition was not good enought. This movie needs a better treatment and I think if they add 5 or 10 minutes more will be esencial for the plot.

I'd like to see an extended version with all the cut scenes put back in. I think we'll see it too.

I'd like to see either, but an Extened Edition would be my preference. After a second viewing, my issues with the pacing vanished, but I would still like to see what was cut for the sake of run time, and it would be cool to get an alternate edit of the movie, just so long as they don't replace the original.

It took Luke about 5 seconds to get over Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen being killed. Leia never mourned for her lost planet. Luke got over Obi-Wan dying before they were out of the Death Star's tractor beam range. Star Wars films don't dwell on the tragedy. They keep moving.

If it had been up to me, I would have bypassed the super weapon plot point altogether, but i don't agree that it was not a Star Wars moment.

ONE important thing i hope is included: han solo's eulogy after the crew arrives back on the resistance base. i thought ford was fantastic in the film, and his death scene was so powerful and moving. a proper eulogy featuring the grief of leia/chewie/C-3PO/new gang, etc. would be a great way to round off ford's fantastic journey as han solo for the last 40 years.

While I greatly enjoyed the movie, there are some loose ends (Poe escaping Jakku, etc.) which can possibly addressed in an extended version. Some other scenes were just too short. There was hardly any reaction to the destruction of the planet (Hosnian Prime) and Han's death. A little more reflection after these tragic events would have been appropriate. Some extra scenes with Poe and Phasma would have been nice too.

There are still moments of build-up and reflection. Alderaan is named, Leia tries desperately to stop them, and Obi-Wan feels reverberations in the Force. By contrast, Hosnian Prime isn't even named, and we literally cut straight from its destruction to BB-8 and Rey having another cute moment.

Considering the fact that it is the capital of the New Republic, that all of its leadership is basically dead, that the galaxy is now in disarray and without a centralized government, and, oh, billions of people are dead... it doesn't feel right. I understand why they wanted to reveal Leia on Takodana rather than before, but by cutting her scenes with Korr Sella and the Resistance's reaction to Hosnian Prime's destruction, they made that moment feel less significant than it should.
