When Daniel Fleetwood saw TFA, it was over 4 hours. does that mean there were over an hour and a half of deleted scenes?!

If they don't give us an extended cut but do include the deleted scenes, then it's only a matter of time before we see a fan edit incorporating the deleted scenes. And when they're at it, they can add in the Fox Fanfare!

So if Maz Kanata can make a tunnel ceiling collapse then she does have Force powers? Didn't she say she she's no Jedi? But she did say she "knows the Force". Right? If she knows the Force why the hell would she have spies in her castle??!!! She would have known they were there. And why would she risk her own castle being destroyed. Makes no sense. This part of the movies plot is so messy.

I'd like an extended cut (I hope) but shoving all deleted scenes in there just because you can doesn't mean it makes the movie better or more interesting. Most deleted scenes were probably cut for a good reason but there's always a few scenes the director most certainly debated more over but have time to reconsider for the blu-Ray given that they serve the story.
I myself am fine with a lot of questions unanswered in tfa. Pretty hard to recap a thirty+ year gap in one film that's mostly trying to tell its own story. I think a lot of "fans" believe a longer cut might answer every molecule structure the film doesn't shout in your face.

True. I'd do it just for the Fox fanfare!

Maz's castle needs more explanation. This part of the movie is very weird and messy.

Perfect example for an extended treatment.

Pretty sure that I saw an official statement that we would be getting deleted scenes but no extended/director's cut. And it isn't listed for release until MAY...WTF!

Like when Finn comes to the surface and tells Maz he doesn't have a weapon. It looked at first like a blooper but now we know there's a whole scene cut out where Finn loses his blaster.

    The One True Cut.
Everybody dismissed it when I said we should have "Daniel's Cut" on the BluRay.. Now everybody wants it.

Nobody but hardcore fans like me will read that book. Put it back in the movie.

I think it has more to do with how many butts you can put in the seats over a two week period. More screen time equals less of this:

    And less of this:

We're getting an extended cut one way or another. They can either do it themselves and get paid.. Or we will do it for them and they will make nothing.

It's the only part of the movie I'm not 100% about.

I have yet to hear a good reason why Maz let spies hang out in her castle. Especially if she has Force power. Someone please answer this question. It's a huge plot hole.
