Blue Milk Origins

    Time for overthinking TLJ!:D

    Not a particularly monumental scene or observation...but I've read fans saying the blue milk from the island creature is the same as the infamous Lars household beverage. :confused:

    Unless specified in canon, I'm leaning towards this to being a similar variety, but not the same. Luke's hideaway is supposedly remote and distant, probably not a place where traders frequent to obtain blue milk to sell to other planets. If it were indeed sold on Tatooine, Aunt Beru doesn't strike me as someone who would be in the market for something "exotic", which would probably be too unusual for her and overpriced. In AoTC, Anakin and Padme are in the pasture with what appears to milk-producing bovine like creatures, so it could come from a variety of sources.

    Any (over)thoughts on this critical and vastly important origin story???

    Pretty sure From a Certain Point of View establishes that blue milk comes from banthas.

    Nice! Thank you, I was pondering this important question. It didn't make sense for it to come from a creature that lives on a planet so remote.

    Does new canon want to say aunt Beru on Tatooine made blue milk for Luke by milking banthas!?

    It's canon that the blue milk comes from the Banthas:

    "Blue milk    , also known as Bantha milk, was a rich blue-colored milk produced by female banthas."

    "Bantha milk was a popular drink throughout the galaxy. An advertisement for blue milk. The Aurebesh text translates as "Blue milk" : "At markets everywhere".
