While I have no doubt Boba Fett will appear in later/"pre-RotJ" episodes of Rebels, do you think that if Rebels extends into/after the OT, it can be used as a way to bring Boba Fett back from "the dead?" They've already brought Maul back, and the Filoni has shown an interest in extending Rebels into and potentially beyond the OT (and seriously, after watching the past two years of TCW panels about what could have been, please let the man finish a series. But yeah, we've seen the armor in Aftermath, we have a format that people really enjoy, and the creator has already worked with this character in the past before.

So, what do you think the chances are that Boba Fett will show up in a post-RotJ Rebels season?

Very low. I simply do not think that Rebels will take place after the Battle of Endor. Many people have speculated about the ending of Rebels and several people have argued that Yoda's remark that Luke is the last hope would require the death (or disappearance) of Ezra and Kanan. If Boba Fett will appear in Rebels, it will probably take place before the events of A New Hope and definitely before his death on Tatooine.

It would certainly add to the depth of the SW universe if Fett is hired to track down Ezra and Kanaan after the failures of the inquisitors and Thrawn.

Especially if the "No disintegrations" line from Vader turns out to be a reference to Ezra's untimely demise because Fett was tasked with delivering Ezra whole to the Emperor to "complete his training."

As much as I'd like to see it carry past ROTJ, you're right. Yoda said it. With that said, I'd like to see Fett, or someone who has Fett's armor posing as Fett. I may be wrong, but I don't think Aftermath actually said Fett was alive, just showed the armor.

Good point, but Filoni commented that there was some wiggle room in for the statement (whether or not Yoda and Obi-Wan were referring to the traditional Jedi roles rather than the new paths that Ezra and Kanan seemed to branch). And with the first look at the Bendu from the trailer (NOTE: I haven't seen the first two episodes) and Ezra's increasing contact with the Dark Side, they might not be Jedi's by the time Luke's around and could still live. Filoni has proven quite skillful at creating imaginative and unique stories and characters that still follow canon. As for the speculation of the series ending, I don't think we should put too much stock into it unless the creators say something. The Clone Wars took place over a 3-4 year time span, but the show had about eight season's worth of material and a time skip. Besides, people were speculating that Rebels was going to end after Season 3, but now it's looking like that's probably not the case.
And wouldn't it be a nice tie-in to see how he left that armor behind? ;)
Yeah, we only saw the armor, but I thought that was a nice kind of nod to the theory that he might show up in the future in some way.

Why not? I mean have Fett, not continue on beyond Endor. It won't even continue beyond RO IMO. Actually I think Rebels will finish maybe a few weeks/months before RO, with perhaps some of the characters that don't end up dead (Sabine? Hera?) Getting in on the action in the Catalyst novel. There's definitely room for Fett to make an appearance in Rebels.

If Boba Fett was brought back, it would have to happen in a classic cantina standoff against the ghost crew, maybe Ezra spills his drink using the force to steal something near him.

How was the armor there if he was eaten while wearing the armor ?

He gets rid of it as it's burning his skin...admittedly, there's a few holes in the theory, but if canon can bring back Darth Maul, then it can bring back Boba Fett.

Except Maul wasn't eaten alive and Fett's suit is supposed to be protecting him so I don't get how he would try to shed the suit...maybe the jetpack somehow fell in with him so he uses it to escape or breaks through the side of the monster and then digs up into the light..

It'd be like how certain lizards can break their own tail off to distract an enemy - escape the armor but let the monster think you're still in it and get out any way possible. Again, not the best strategy, but I believe "eaten alive" would be easier to retcon than "cut in half and fell down a seemingly never-ending shaft."
... and now with that jetpack idea all I can think about is Fett swinging the jetpack like a mace or something!

It would be real cool to see Boba Fett in Rebels. Not only him but many other favorite characters that have been absent for a long time.

Only if Temuera Morrison reprised the role. No offence to Baker, but he cannot for the life of him master that certain Kiwi accent, and on top of that Boba is a unique clone, so he deserves a unique voice, not the same as another guy.

If Fett is considered a good enough bounty hunter to be pulled in by Vader in esb, he has to have a reputation. I assume it would take a number of years to gain that level of renown. We know thanks to CW that Fett is already a bounty hunter, I think he would be in full mandalorian regalia by the era of Rebels. That said I don't think we're gonna see him.

In the 'canon' Star Wars comics it seemed like Vader and Boba Fett had been working together long before ESB. Everyone in the Imperial military believes bounty hunters to be low class savages. Vader isn't blind and can see their usefulness. If anyone is going to invite Boba Fett to the show, it will be Vader... maybe even Thrawn.

Unless the show gets canceled (which judging by the Rebels reception last celebration, I can't see it happening) I'd bet money that we see the Fett at some point.

I want to see Zuckuss. Why are he and 4-lom always left out?
