    Not sure if this has been posted yet but I saw an interesting article on IGN about the state of the Boba Fett movie.

    So look likes Boba's movie is officially dead. Maybe it's a story they are waiting to tell during The Mandalorian show?

    Well, Boba Fett's selling point was always his cool armour. This new Mandalorian has as even cooler armour and a whole show to develop his character without having to rely on the OT. I say we got a better deal.

    I'm perfectly cool with that. The Mandalorian is basically a Boba Fett standalone on steroids.

    Good decision. The idea of a stand alone Boba Fett movie never made sense. To make it at all interesting would have been to totally change the character as we know him. Mandalorian still lets you have the cool armor (which is the only reason people liked Boba Fett anyway), but with a 3 dimensional character.

    I am sure you could have made a good Boba movie. Pretty winning formula. Cool armored gunslinger. I am more excited at the prospect of him showing up in the Mando at some point.

    Good. Now use the money saved from this production to revive Star Wars 1313 and make the first good Star Wars video game since the Disney buyout.

    It'll be the first good decision Disney/LFL has made for the Star Wars brand since production on Rebels.

    I don't think that's Lucasfilm's call, that's EA's. Disney/Lucasfilm let EA use their license, and they decide what becomes a game.

    I think that they did it because of brand recognition as well as distancing themselves away from "our" star wars to make it their own like they have been with the ST. I highly doubt that Boba will show up during the events of this television show. If anything it will revolve around real mandalorians primarily.

    I'm fine with it. I'm more excited for the Mandalorian TV series anyway. I don't want Kathleen Kennedy ruining another beloved SW character like she did with Luke in Last Jedi
