RUMOR Boba Fett Survives ROTJ..

As I pointed out in the other thread, the star destroyer is similar position but the landscapes are completely different. This is not Jakku in my opinion.

 

This is far from confirmed to mean Boba lives or that this is from Jakku. I think this thread should be terminated as this topic has been discussed in other threads and is misleading by saying confirmed.

 

They seemed to have reused the Star Destroyer asset. I think were seeing Tatoonie here because the mountains in those shots arent there in the movie trailer. That, and because of the sandcrawler and that's the last place Boba was seen.

01:47 – Boba Fett is very much alive! There's a lot going on here, with a Sandcrawler to the left and a squadron of what appear to be A-Wings just above. Like Vader, Fett will appear as one of the playable villains in Battlefront.

We've had this confirmed to be Tatooine but if you look in the top right-hand corner you can see a Star Destroyer crashing in the background, which made us think this could be a shot from the Battle of Jakku, the free expansion that will set the scene for The Force Awakens. Is taking down Star Destroyers an objective? Is it a cataclysmic event that alters the map? Or it could simply be something that happens in the background to give battles an epic sense of scale.

 

Hope boba is in the actual film.

I've been thinking about this for the past two days.. even if Fett survived the pit, which George has stated he did, the Jakku battle is JJs way of 'clearing the table' of the OT era plotlines in the saga. That includes Solo vs. Fett. I'm a big Boba Fett fan, but some of what I've heard regarding 'retooling' his character gives me consternation over where LFL might take him after Jakku. In one respect, there was a Fett for each trilogy; and the ST will likely get it's own version of the Mandalorian bounty hunter at some point.

 

I hope not. He is dead. leave it at that.

 

OP you're clutching at straws, and I don't give a damn about Boba Fett anymore. I hope he's being digested by the Sarlacc while each new trilogy rolls by.

 

if boba turned up it would be simple fan servicing .. and thats not what these new films are about.. thats the kinda thing lucas would do.

Like they would confirm Boba is alive from a video game trailer before episode 7 is out.. And not save it for a massive surprise in the movie...
That being said, that's obviously Tatooine, and Boba won't be in 7.

I'm always skeptical of rumors.


But I have to say, if he's alive, that would be damn awesome.

Even George Lucas consired to let him survive.
