Those bodies weren't just shot... they were burned and smoking. There wasn't just a hole in them punched through

    Thanks @TIDMADT :D
This is the screen grab/pic I wanted to show from the Star Wars A New Hope scenes.
A grenade or thermo-detonator would have blown both of them up not left full entact bones.

To be clear, in reality(or the Star Wars world), Boba Fett could have been a liaison for Vader on Tatooine/Mos Esley and hooked up with the Dewback Calvary squad for this op(going to Owen's moisture farm).
For all we know, Fett could have been a paid contractor or PMC working directly for Darth Vader for years.
FWIW; In OIF(Operation Iraqi Freedom) & SW Asia: 2001-2014 or so, combat troops in the field often had "tier one" special operations forces(SOFs: SEALs, Task Force Black, MARSOC, ISA, SAD, etc) show up for high value targets or to get material.

But Greedo was also charred from Blasterfire. And that was just a Blasterpistol. Also Owen and Beru had no Armor. And maybe Blasters have different settings. Think of the stunning ray in the beginning.

    Perfect example...

This cat took one in the chest point blank, and yeah, it blew a smokin hole through him, but it didn't burn his whole body...

You're right. But this was only a hand blaster. And i think it wasn't on the highest setting.

First of all, there is no indication that there are "setting" buttons, and even if there were, I don't think Han was the type of person who would have used the lower settings...

But, I digress... the blaster weapons fire a projectile which does impact and energy based damage. It does not set off a chemical reaction that covers the whole body. IMNSHO those bodies were burned

But what about Kenobi killing Grievous in RotJ?

And different Power Settings were mentioned in "The New Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology"

Besides maybe Han wanted to save munition and his Blaster was set on a lower but still deadly setting.

Kenobi killed Grievous in TROTS on Utapau by frying his remains with a blaster.

There was an article on StarWars.com that mentioned how they worked... which is to say that they do fire a projectile, so whatever "setting" you put it on, that projectile would be consumed, and it wouldn't save any ammo by changing it...

It's a minor point, but... Grievous wasn't human, and the fire that engulfed him (which was not total) was caused by igniting his innards... that wouldn't have happened with the Lars couple, who have soft squishy innards not prone to combustion. Charred I can see... but getting shot doesn't start a chemical reaction resulting in incineration, else Leia would have lost a lot more than just a flesh wound when she got shot.

    The place was torched

There was an imperial officer in the star wars republic series from dark horse who had his face burned by blaster fire.

And what about the incinerated wampa?

    Also this:

I don't remember an incinerated wampa... I remember people talking about it, don't remember seeing it... and I watched ESB about 4 weeks ago

My situation is not the same as the blaster fire I mentioned came from a freighter, which would imply that it is a much larger blaster bolt than that which can come from a rifle or pistol blaster.

If they zapped it from orbit, sure... but... it wasn't SandPeople, though it was made to look that way... look at the tracks (which meant they were in close)

Yeah, I've seen Empire approximately one jillion times, and I've never seen this Probe Droid killing the Wampa thing. I think someone said it was from the novelization or a cut scene or something.

Checked back on my DVD Edition. You're right, the scene isn't there.

Strange, i seem to remember having seen this scene back in the nineties on video, before the Special Edition!

Or maybe reading the Novelization played a trick on my memories.

I think it must have been in a game or a comic book or something... but nothing canon

Well if it was in the novel, we have no idea how burned the Wampa was... someone was using that as an example of how burned a body would be
