RUMOR Bounty Hunters in Rouge One

Unless the entire cast are bounty hunters, then the rumor isn't true ...

 

Yeah, feels weird to have so many of them and the story about Empire getting the plans back. However I think some BH cameos are likely. And how would I love to see Cad Bane in live-action!

 

I think it's more Han likely that we could see Boba Fett since he seems to have a prior relationship with Vader...maybe a team-up sequence with Vader and Boba Frtt and Bjba disintegrates one of he main characters while Vader is needing him for questioning for a The Emoeror and Tarkin ... ...

 

He doesn't at this point in the story! The only interaction he ever had was as Anakin, when he was almost killed by kid Boba with Mace Windu when he crashed a Republic Cruiser! It was established in the new canon that the first time Darth Vader and Boba Fett cross paths is when he is hired to find the pilot who destroyed the Death Star.

He is more aware of Cad Bane as a Bounty Hunter at this point in the storyline as he successfully stole a Jedi Holocron from the temple.

For wanting Ventress, it is now apparent you have not read Dark Disciple.

 

I thought I read on MSW a month or two back that all the bounty hunters in ESB make cameos in this film, even the dude all covered in bandages

There's a stubborn part of me that wants to insist this is true. To me, it makes perfect sense for these guys to be in the story. It fits with SW traditions.

Then I think, "if I go to the theater with this mindset, I'm setting this up to be a colossal disappointment". I'm better off thinking "probably not gonna happen". Then it would be a pleasant surprise rather than the other way around.

 

I hope Vader has a similiar scene to TESB

 

I was just thinking that the chances of this are nil. As good as Disney/Lucasfilm are at keeping secrecy. I don't think there's any chance of these guys being on set and word NOT getting out. They might be able to supress photography, but I'm betting an unofficial/anonymous reveal would have made the rounds on the geek/media sites.

I'm guessing the writers were considering it initially, but decided against it for whatever reason(s).

 

Wouldn't Rogue 1 with DV and a potential bounty hunters scene, particularly with Boba Fett, provide an excellent opportunity to reference DV's emphasis "and this time there can be no disintegrations" in the ESB scene with the same. Maybe at some point a bounty hunter captures and or gets the drop on one of the Rogue 1 team and disintegrates them and thus loses the chance to either recover the plans or extract info to do so?

Definitely a call back or more like a call forward I could get behind.

 

That would be cool, but I'd rather see it happen to someone like Galen Erso.

 

Hmm here could be a scenario:

Maybe Krennic and Vader are both working to capture Galen after he escapes the first attempt by the empire to employee his services in designing-building the DS LASER. DV using the bounty hunters, while Krennic is using his Death Troopers. The Death Troopers are the ones that disintegrate Galen, putting the DTs and Krennic on the sh_t list and the BHs and DV on the upside in further pursuing any kind of special capture missions.
