    Brad Bird's Tomorrowland has by all accounts been a massive flop for Disney, losing an estimated $140 million. While flops are a relatively common occurrence within the film industry and for Disney (The Lone Ranger, John Carter), what is less clear is whether Bird will be given the opportunity to direct a Star Wars movie in the future. It's no secret that he is a highly-regarded director in Hollywood and that moreover, he was originally approached to direct TFA, but he turned it down. So will Bird ever direct a Star Wars movie in the future?

    I hope not. He can direct certain kinds of movies, but I'd like him to stay away from Star Wars.
