In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Star Wars, Del Rey will be releasing their next Star Wars book, A Certain Point of View, on October 3. The upcoming book is an anthology of 40 different short stories from various authors that tells the story of Star Wars: A New Hope from the perspective of several of the movie's background characters. Many of the authors together with Del Rey recently took to Twitter to reveal a little bit about their stories in the book. Read on to take a look...

Most of these look very interesting, and I can't wait to see what fun surprises this book has in store. I look forward to reading some more tales from some of my favorite Star Wars alums, as well as checking out what the newcomers to the GFFA have to offer. The cool thing about this book is that all of the authors will forgo compensation for their contributions as the proceeds will go to charity. The book is available for pre-order now!

Also StarWars.com revealed a very impressive voice cast, who will be narrating the audiobook, featuring Jon Hamm as Boba Fett!

    Jonathan Davis
    Ashley Eckstein
    Janina Gavankar
    Jon Hamm
    Neil Patrick Harris
    January LaVoy
    Saskia Maarleveld
    Carol Monda
    Daniel José Older
    Marc Thompson

For more information on the book go to StarWars.com for an interesting interview with producers Aaron Blank and Nick Martorelli.

I have all the Star Wars anthologies; Tales of the Mos Eisley Cantina, Bounty Hunters, Jabba's Palace, Tales from the New Republic, and the Empire. I absolutely love those anthologies; being a huge fan of ANH, this is right up my alley. Looking forward to Pablo Hidalgo's Tarkin tale "Verge of Greatness" most of all. "You may fire when ready", Tarkin delivered that line in ANH and R1. I usually purchase books digitally but I'm certainly getting the hard cover, the proceeds are going to charity nice touch LFM!

Didn't knew (and expected) to see Dr Aphra showing up in this book, a pleasant surprise! But I'm looking forward the most to the Obi Wan story, to possibly learn more about the force ghosts sounds very good

Looking forward for "The trigger", but actually I think most of them are worth reading...

I believe it is, and I am a huge fan of her storyline - one of the best newest stories to be told, great plot and references...

Ok i dont mean 2 sound sexist but since they got so many voice actors on this i wish males did male voices & vice versa w/ females.
