Honestly this BTS videos did more to get me excited than the trailer did. The different set pieces look cool, new costumes for FInn, Rey and Poe look cool. Also I'm getting some serious Kyle Katarn vibes from jacket less Finn, they do have similar backstories.

 

Where is that from?

Because yes, actually it screams Plaguies.

Or Rey Sky/Solo.

 

I'm going to need a cold shower after that BTS video. Most "WTF is happening" shot to me, is the shot of Rey diving into the water. Is she going to get something? Someone?

I also love how Rey, Finn, Poe and Rose are all together at one point. I like the idea of the newbies all together at once.

 

Man, sorry for being late to the party but damn!!!!! That was an amazing video!!! So many great shots and too much to take in, even on multi-multiple viewings. Honey, take the kids to your mothers tomorrow cause I'll be busy all day!!! MTFBWY!

 

I think given the fact that Luke is at the first Jedi temple. We've seen what looks like old Jedi manuscripts. I think the synopsis hints at us going back further in the past than Plagueis

 

After some thought, I would say that the Behind The Scenes footage was a lot more informative about the nature and setting of The Last Jedi than the teaser trailer.

The teaser was only about two minutes and a lot of that was spent with fade ins and outs, the title card, and the release date. Also a lot of the content in the teaser dealt with Rey's training on Ahch-To and then a few brief glimpses of other scenes.

The BTS gave us about 3 minutes of content and while some of it was certainly rehashing what we already knew or had seen before, we got to see some new details and important context for the movie. Judging by what the actors said in the BTS, the movie is going to be darker than TFA, possibly being the darkest Star Wars yet. We got several visuals of Canto Bight, Crait, the Resistance ships/base, and the First Order base. We got to see confirmation of Finn and Rose infiltrating the First Order, we got to see Kylo training, and we know that Rey and Luke will definitely join up with the Resistance at some point in the film based.

 

When they talk about making SW fresh and the character journeys going in unexpected ways, I think we will see blurring of the lines between the dark and the light. I reckon Luke learned much about the Jedi that will take the idea of the Light side of the Force into places we will not be expecting. Luke says there is so much bigger than just the light and the dark. I think this film explores the "bigger." And to me, the "bigger" is tied into whatever Snoke's relationship with the Force is...

 

My visits to that cantina have been infrequent, so I may be behind on my details, but is Rey running down the beach with lightsaber in hand supposed to be on Ach-to?

Was it actually somewhere confirmed that the "praetorian guards" protect Snoke specifically? Because if you search for more information about what those type of guards were doing during the Roman Empire, they protected the Praetor and not the Emperor, could it be that they rather protect General Hux? Because he feels threatened by Kylo..

 

The birds both excite me and worry me. They look like they could be a hot toy this December, and well...

 

So this looks to me like Leia on Ahch to. I'm wishing for a Luke and Leia reunion in this. Hope it happens.
