    I just stumbled on this thread, and for the most part it NAILS everything we know about The Rise of Skywalker.

    And I do remember folks in the forums here commenting on Rey's saber style being so reminiscent of Palpatine. Abrams very well could have been planting that as a seed. Anyway, a fun trip down memory lane.

    You mean that part where it was predicted Rey would be a descendant of Palpatine, and in fact she IS a descendant of Palpatine? I'd say that's ap retty big chunk of spoiler material. And even though I don't link to the plot leak thread, it's easily inferred.

    Her being a Palpatine IS not a fact. Unless you've seen the movie already and it actually showed you concrete evidence that she was.

    Too much has come out of leaked spoilers that concretely points at Rey being connected to the Emperor for that plot point to be false, even if one isn't personally following said spoilers.

    Too much that has came out that is super convoluted. Nothing concretely points to Rey's connection to Palpatine. And don't say, but, but she swings a lightsaber like him...

    If anything, Palpatine manipulates her into healing him and all hell breaks loose and that's all there is to it. No connection, not a relative.

    We'll see what happens, but I think there's too much smoke surrounding Rey and the Emperor based on what's been leaked for there not to be a fire there.
