Any Harry Potter fans here in the Cantina? Don't be shy.

HP is a great series! Love both the books and movies. Although, I saw the movies first then read the books. I wish I had done it the other way around. I've only read the books once but have seen the movies countless times. I just re-watched the Deathly Hallows Pt. 1 last night!

Yeah, I'm glad I read the books before watching the films. The films cut important material from the books, most likely due to pacing issues. The films are all good, they just feel very rushed at times.

Agreed. Love the books more than the films. Heh, I started out watching the Deathy Hollows PT. 1 so I was completely confused as to what was going on. It wasn't until much later that I watched the entire series

    Which is your favourite?

Mine would have to be The Prisoner of Azkaban.

That's a good one. Mine is the Order of the Phenoix followed closely by Deathly Hollows PT. 2

Yeah, Deathly Hallows Prt. 2 is my second favourite as well :).

My least favourite would have be The Chamber of Secrets. Even with everything they cut from the books, that film drags.

Haha actually the Deathly Hallows Pt. 1 is my least favorite in the series. It just drags on forever and hardly anything real exciting happens in it.

    My list would be:
    Order of the Phenoix
    Deathly Hollows PT. 1
    Half-Blood Prince
    Prisoner of Azkaban
    Goblet of Fire
    Chamber of Secrets
    Sorcerer's Stone
    Deathly Hollows Pt. 1

I like the books, but think the films were generally poor as both adaptations & movies (though not always at the same time or for the same reasons).

Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite. Remus Lupin is the best.

It would have been hard to read he books before the movies because the movies left out so much so the books to read after would have been more like companions to the movies I think

He was my favorite professor at Hogwarts by far. He was actually a key inspiration for me pursuing teaching as a career.[IMG]
