Oh yeah, I love the McGonagall backstory and all but Remus always resonated with me.

Finally worked up the courage to take the Pottermore Sorting Hat and Patronus quizzes today. As huge fan of this world, I was potentially scared of the results received by the quizzes, designed by Rowling herself, such as being sorted into Slytherin with a Dolphin Patronus lol. Luckily I am officially a proud member of Gryffindor and my patronus is an awesome fox (which suits me) Anyone else give these a whirl?? They are so fun and extremely well made. [IMG] [IMG]

I've taken both. I'm a Ravenclaw and my Patronus is a sparrowhawk. Ravenclaw is very accurate, the sparrowhawk is quite accurate too from the little bit I did read on them.

Yep, I gave them a whirl ages ago.

    My Hogwarts house is Hufflepuff:

Hufflepuffs value hard work, patience, loyalty, and fair play.

My Ilvermony house is the Horned Serpent:

Named by Isolt Sayre after the great horned river serpent that has a jewel set into its forehead; Horned Serpent house is sometimes considered to represent the mind of a witch or wizard. It is also said that Horned Serpent favours scholars.

    My Wand:
Pine wood with a Unicorn hair core 12 ¼" and Hard flexibility.

The straight-grained pine wand always chooses an independent, individual master who may be perceived as a loner, intriguing and perhaps mysterious. Pine wands enjoy being used creatively, and unlike some others, will adapt unprotestingly to new methods and spells. Many wandmakers insist that pine wands are able to detect, and perform best for, owners who are destined for long lives. The pine wand is one of those that is most sensitive to non-verbal magic.

Unicorn hair generally produces the most consistent magic, and is least subject to fluctuations and blockages. Wands with unicorn cores are generally the most difficult to turn to the Dark Arts. They are the most faithful of all wands, and usually remain strongly attached to their first owner, irrespective of whether he or she was an accomplished witch or wizard. Minor disadvantages of unicorn hair are that they do not make the most powerful wands (although the wand wood may compensate) and that they are prone to melancholy if seriously mishandled, meaning that the hair may 'die' and need replacing.

Wand flexibility or rigidity denotes the degree of adaptability and willingness to change possessed by the wand-and-owner pair - although, again, this factor ought not to be considered separately from the wand wood, core and length, nor of the owner’s life experience and style of magic, all of which will combine to make the wand in question unique.

    My patronus:

    A Robin.

The sparrowhawk is really cool. I like the more down to earth animal patronus like we have over the more grandiose things like a dragon. Cool results.

You happy with Hufflepuff? I always loved the house but it gets a lot of flack. It is my second favorite behind gryffindor.

Harry Potter is my favourite film series. Deathly Hollows Pt. 2 is my fav out of those. :)
That's similar for me. I too have seen the movies countless times (and will probably watch them countless times more), but it's been such a long time now since I read the book series. I finally decided to do something about that and so I recently started reading them again; currently halfway through Chamber of Secrets.

As for my Hogwarts House, I've taken a few different tests over the years; I always wind up with either Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff.

Favorite book - Order of the Phoenix. Yes, Harry's anger problems and angst were annoying, but Umbridge was a villain unlike any we've seen before, and seeing Harry take charge of his own destiny by teaching himself and others made it all worth it.

Favorite movie - Sorcerer's Stone or Chamber of Secrets. The first two have a level of whimsy and wonder that the other movies simply don't have. Part of it's due to the age of the characters, another part of it is due to the directing. The first Dumbledore (may he rest in peace) was a big part of this as well. ...I'm also nostalgic about these movies - I wasn't able to watch or read Harry Potter as a kid, so I secretly watched these two movies when they were on tv and my parents weren't around.

Favorite character - Luna Lovegood. She was crazy and she was awesome.

Pottermore House - I've joined three times over its existence. The first two times I was a Gryffindor, the third time in Ravenclaw. I associate myself with a Gryffindor though. I can't say what my wand or Patronus would be though (although if I had a choice on the latter, I'd make it a wolf).
