    Can Darksider back the
It is a fair question. While dark side usage and power seems to gravitate toward negative emotional states, I cannot see why a dark sider has to support The "Empire" or the "First Order".

You could be a depraved murder rapist and support democracy. Why not the dark siders and Sith?

I could see Leia ultimately embrace her dark side after all she has been through. Nothing to say she would not use that negative energy to pursue her own goals.

A Sith could certainly practice the Dark Arts on Storm Toopers and Snoke to name a few.

Perhaps Rey will go dark but support the rebuilding of the Republic. It makes no sense for this Trilogy to end in favor of Republic ideals. Maybe Luke has to hide his new Jedi this time in deep space...

Maybe Ben redeems himself by helping Luke defeat a very powerful female Sith Lord who called herself Rey.

Because the continued use of the dark side corrupts your mind. The dark side feeds of negative emotions, giving you a heightened sense of paranoia and depravity. You eventually become a shell of your former self, thinking inwards, only of yourself. You feel raw power, and a sense of invincibility. Afterwards everything feels weak and very few can come back from the dark once they have immersed themselves deeply enough in it. Vader was an exception as part of his power came from the very fact that he hated himself. The only being to ever maintain some semblance of their former self was the Son, but he was another exception as he had become a physical embodiment of the dark side due to his bathing in the forbidden font of power.

Eventually, Rey would just take and consume everything. If she allied with anyone, it would be for her own selfish ambitions. The Empire and First Order would be able to assist them, as they share similar views.

No. Because a love of democracy and freedom doesn't equate with the selfish, totalitarian desires of a Dark Sider.
A Dark Sider might use those on the side of good to get his or her own means, but the end goal is galactic domination. Greed. Oppression. Hatred.

They don't have to support the New Order or the Empire. Dark Siders are inherintly selfish by nature, they'll support whatever serves their interest best. If they feel like they can use the Republic or the Resistance to some end then of course they would use them, but they're not gonna stick around to promote democracy and freedom for other people.
