SPECULATION Captain Phasma-Skywalker?

Hmm, interesting theory. Now i'm not so sure that Phasma is Darth Plagueis.

 

This was brought up in a thread yesterday. Here's I take the situation:

Because Phasma can be no older than 40 in this movie and Rey is about 20 years old,
Phasma had to be no older than 20 when she gave birth to Rey. I don't think Disney will approve of a 40-year old Luke Skywalker banging a 20-year old Captain Phasma. In the word's of a great jedi:

 

Gwendoline is 37. She just doesn't look 50. The only way it would work in my opinion is if they hide her face and replace the actor inside when the face is revealed. Seems like a lot of work when hiring a prestigious actor like her.

 

Ok, now, new theory. Phasma and Hux are siblings and Tarkin's grandchildren.

 

Personally I don't think we'll see her at all, just hear her.

Everyone new in TFA turns out to be Luke's kid. In a shocking reaction to the Jedi order's no sex rule, Luke, seeing this as the cause of the fall of the order, heads out and bangs half the galaxy. He's in hiding because the child maintennance payments are leaving him pennyless.

I started that other thread and I don't think Disney cares about the age difference like that and with Christie close to forty they can fudge her or Luke age 5 years in any direction.

 

Good theory, but I have to say no. Only because she is much younger. Although age is not that significant but I have to say that Rey's mom is probably an unknown.

 

I know people find it farfetched that a galaxy
far far away has so many related people doing significant things but it happens in the real world all the time. History repeats itself and people find themselves doing things their parents and ancestors did even ones they don't know about. Example president Dubya Bush mother Barbara is the great great niece of President Franklin Pierce. Pierce is the 14th president, Bush is the 43rd not to mention his dad was president and his brother is running now. Pierce and Bush were presidents literally 150 years apart. If,being a jedi is at least as rare as being president you factor in the "will of the Force" and the surprising thing is more of these characters are not related.

 

When I first seen this thread I said heck no cause I want Mara to be her mother. However it sure would throw and interesting aspect in the whole film. Let me ask you, just how many connections to the past do we need? But, and a big but......it is a Family story so there has to be family, whether its a friendship type of family family or actual blood lines..... Kennedy did say it was family. So this is plausible........

 

Gonna go with no. Simply for the fact that we are being led to believe we will not see Gwendoline Christie very much, if at all. She also appears to have a much smaller role in the movie. If Rey is Luke's daughter, I do not think we will see her in this movie, and possible may never see her.

We didn't meet, or even hear the name of, Padme until the Prequels.

 

Phasma was created on the spot, when JJ and Kathy spotted a rendering of a storm trooper in chrome.
they liked it enough to create a new character with this look.

she has a visual presence, and maybe says 2 or 3 lines of dialogue in the film.

i'll keep repeating my mantra:
make the universe bigger, not smaller.

 

Much of your example relies on the fact that the Bush family are very wealthy, and I wouldn't say that Bush Mk II was a great advertisement for nepotism or cronyism.
