I can honestly say, since seeing ANH when I was 4, Carrie was my first love. It was 1977 and the only thing I could hope was to rescue my princess. As I got older and the following movies were released (which I always awaited in anticipation), my love for her grew stronger. By the time I was 11, she was the end all be all. Since then, she was always in my heart and the back of my mind. As I got older, I didn't think about her near as much. Life has not been the same since close to Christmas 2016.

I remember celebrating the Holidays, having a few cold beers. I routinely check the Drudge Report, and lo and behold, I see that Carrie (my long lost love) is in cardiac arrest. In my drunken somber, I tell myself that surely she will be alright. But, the news haunts my dreams. It was all I could think about Christmas Time. Surely, she will be alright.

I have never even seen a picture of her (not that it would matter) since TROJ. I was devastated by the news and have been devastated since. Every time I drink a few beers, I always find myself watching Carrie Fisher you tube videos. I also find myself thinking about her daily. I looked up every movie, video, and special appearance I could find and watched it with loving admiration. I do, I miss her each and every day. I do my best to separate her for our beloved Princess, but for me, it seems impossible.

She was awesome in every sense of the word, and I love her for it. She will always be my one and first love. RIP Carrie Fisher, may God bless you.

On TV here in Australia, they air an ad that contains a song that I can't bare to hear as it reminds me of both Carrie and her cherished dog. It's the "I will be right here waiting for you" song and everytime I hear that, I see that little dog staring out the window waiting for Carrie to get home from the hospital which she never did. The lyrics seem to match it perfectly.

Well it's getting closer and closer to a year so I went and reread these. Still brings tears to me... 201223_225141-picsay.jpg
