Cast Already Read the Script?

I think its because Threepio has a huge mouth, but not big enough to give away the movie. Notice for TFA promotion he would open his mouth and occasionally same dumb blast, but he never actually revealed anything about the actual movie. I think Lucasfilm is very aware of how Anthony Daniels thinks and they knew he would say something. Also, it allows the actors to in a way communicate with the fans and in return the fans feel like the actors are "keeping us in the loop." Look at Daisy Ridley's instagram, she clearly gave a clue there and so did Boyega.

 

Daisy and John are big SW fans though too so they would keep us as much in the loop as possible...with Anthony, yes he says stupid things sometimes but if they're trying to keep a tight lid, they shouldn't be letting anyone besides the main cast read it in my opinion .

 

I am definitely with you on only keeping the main cast in the loop in regards to the script. I was just saying that even though Daniels talks alot, he does not actually give anything away. For instance, I cannot actually think of anything he gave away in regards to TFA.

 

I'm sure he was kidding anyway. He voiced his displeasure about all the secrecy for TFA and it might have been a jab at that or for the upcoming secrecy for Ep VIII.
I'd be more worried about Carrie Fisher's self proclaimed "big mouth".

 

Agreed, except for if it spoils things from the movie. Honestly, I don't mind spoilers myself, but I know that LOTS of other people certainly do.
