What if Ben Kenobi’s story of Anakin and Vader was true. Technically, it was true, from a certain point of view. But, when Ben said Vader betrayed and murdered Luke’s father, what if that was literally. What if it was the actual story? Would there be some kind of underlying theme of Luke avenging his father or something like that?

 

Luke- Leia, Leia’s my sister.

Obi- you’re insight serves you well. Bury your feelings deep down because You’ve already gone sliding into second base like your Pete rose, Yoda and I been meaning to say something because you’ve been trying for the home run like your babe Ruth.

 

Luke - I wouldn't have had to worry about those feelings had you not kept it a secret from me in the first place! I mean, Ben, if you wanted me to go on an adventure with you, I'm pretty sure telling me that "hey, the girl we're rescuing is your sister, and yes you have more family outside of your aunt and uncle" would have done the job!

Obi- But would you have believed me?

Luke - Ben, come on. I believed in the Force about five minutes after seeing you use it.

 

Luke- couldn’t you have at least told me before I gave her all those drawings and the mix tape.

obi- yeah we thought it was funny until we saw those drawings. Then it just got disturbing. I can’t unsee what I saw. So much, just so much and I fought in the clone wars.

Luke- yeah I may have crossed a line.

Luke Skywalker: No, my father didn't fight in the Clone Wars. He was a navigator on a spice freighter.

Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi: That's what your uncle told you. He didn't have your father's midichlorians count; he felt he should've stayed here after murdering an entire village of Tusken Raiders for the kidnapping and torture of his mother.

Luke Skywalker: You fought in the Clone Wars?

Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi: Yes. I was once a Jedi knight, the same as your father.

Luke Skywalker: I wish I'd known him.

Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi: He was the best star pilot in the galaxy, and a whiny teenager. I understand that you've become quite a good pilot yourself.

This would have changed the entire meaning of the ST, for the better, in my opinion.
