Hi to ALL my friends here in The Cantina.I had watch the movie 3 times and this part of the movie for me is a little hard to understand.Sorry BUT is true........Did any friend REALLY get it and can explain it to me so I can understand it more better? Maybe someone else can't get it either.I know what Rose and Finn want to do to help the rebels to escape from the bad guys.Is the first time ever that the bad guys can track the rebels in hyperspace.I was waiting that in the movie it was someone that install a device on the rebel ships. They are chasing them to kill them slowly little by little by let them finish they spaceship gas one by one.I remember in the yellow letters at the beginning of the movie that the rebels was expose.Thinking now...If they can track them in this movie maybe in the next one (Ep.IX) is the same and the rebels NOW can not escape from them.....Thanks for the help guys in advance and also....Does Rey have the jedi text ...Right? It happen so fast.I see her put something in one of the Falcon drawers. When Yoda burn the tree i think the books was there....:p.I found out reading here....:).Thanks guys....;).

We also know it was used between Rogue One and A New Hope. This is a bit of a TLJ inconsistency for me, but not a huge one.

It makes sense that this tech would be developed in the GFFA, and yet, it really undermines how SW stories often work. I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing -- I suppose tech can be developed to stop ships from being tracked. I'm still unclear on how it works too, and this is after watching the film 5 times.

I would hope that the First Order can't track a ship forever, whenever it's going into hyperspace. If they could, then why can't they follow the Falcon at the end of TLJ?

Someone please explain, or else I'll have to read the leaked subtitles again for more clarity. :(

I don't know, maybe DJ did it, but I remember someone on the Cantina stated the Falcon was tracked with a device on the Falcon and that was pretty close to what happened to the Resistance.

Can someone explain why the FO didn't destroy the Raddus to begin with? Why the slow chase? Couldn't they call in other FO ships?

Don't ask too many questions about this plot. It unravels faster than Snoke.

Yeah, really makes the whole "THE FIRST ORDER REIGNS" claim kind of silly, doesn't it?

The other funny thing is that Snoke didn't seem to know he had such a device on his own ship.

The Tantive IV was damaged and leaking...stuff, which is why Vader could track their route. No tech used unfortunately. It's in one of the new canon books (From A Certain Point of View, I think?)

Maybe they'll release a FO comic at the end of 2018 explaining that idea.

Because it was out of range and its rear deflector shields are near inpenetrable. There you go.

The rebel fleet was faster. The Resistance moved out of the effective range of FO turbo lasers, and also beyond the range that their fighters could be safely supported.

General Hux states both of these things.

Must have missed that bit. Did Snoke not recall he had the device on his ship then? Or did he just not mention it?
