Was meh with the PT but after finally getting around to watching the Clones Wars from start to finish it seriously makes the PT my favourite of the trilogy. It even makes the Rise of Sky-walker better including Palpatine as the big bad because he truly was evil.

Giving the clones personalities and showing the struggles of them being made for war really makes that scene at the Revenge of the sith where they turn on the Jedi they fought for many years alongside very sad.

As someone who has been a fan of most of the films and the EU novels it was not until recently that I sat down and watched The Clone Wars series along with Rebels. After that, I really do feel that it should be required viewing between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. It adds so much depth to the characters and to what they go through. I think the series also does justice to the character that is Anakin Skywalker in the movies.

I love the Clone Wars because it shows Anakin's fall so well and it can seem a little rushed because of course, the lack of time. Also, a little less tragic because we do not see his positive relationship and goofiness as much. But I like the movies better because they show the meat of the story and have those deep emotions mixed with the darkness of SW which I love. I think a live-action CW (which will never happen) that was unrated or something would have been amazing.

I love the droids I actually find a lot of the humor (some hidden) really funny. You also get to see how powerful Anakin was and how crazy it was they did not grant him the rank of master.

I don’t think it is fair to compare a show and a whole trilogy. However, I actually enjoyed both the CW and the PT. Here is the thing. half of the PT isn’t even about the Clone Wars. The whole point of the CW series was to give us a different perspective on the war. Aspects such as politics, war, and religion are among some of the examples. The Pt doesn’t get the whole CW idea rolling until halfway through AOTC. Anyway, both the PT and the CW offer us different views of SW that complement each other. So, to say the least, Clone Wars isn’t better than the PT and the PT isn’t better than CW. :)

No I grew up with the clone wars. Don’t let nostalgia blind you there is still that weird and wonky dialogue that plagues the original 6 films but especially the prequels. You have dozens of episodes that people forget to mention. I like TCW, but I like the whole of the prequels more.

Yes and no? I think the concepts introduced in the PT absolutely work better in TCW, but I think the PT has a certain level of charm and daring that TCW wouldn't dare attempt if the PT was in place. Basically, you can't unlink the two because TCW stands on the shoulders of the PT.

Good point. Either way, we really got to experience a new side of star wars that we never got to get in the OT and ST. We get politics and then that whole dramatic effect knowing what Anakin will become and what the jedi will become. We always get to hear the empire theme slowly hinted throughout the PT and CW. Both CW and the Pt, go so well together. Well said my friend! :)
