Collider Jedi Council: Is Disney and Lucasfilm Putting Their Star Wars Story Spinoffs On Hold?

They didn't express much confidence in those videos, reminded me clickbaits, they do it even worse while twitting. Sorry, but I'm tired of Collider...

 

Hope this's better than that show special Mark Reilly did on Wednesday.

 

Do get tired of the know it all attitude of Kristian. So many times it isnt discussion it is I know (stuff he wouldnt know for sure) for sure X is the case. I also think they fell into the troupe of this is what the fans want so why dont they make it. I mean Maude even wants a Hutt lead movie. Look LFL know that fans would love an Obi-Wan movie starring Ewan. That doesnt make a good movie. I have heard some of Kristian ideas about that before and the ideas through a lot of canon out the window to make it work. Said it a lot lately. If the reason to make a movie is because we like the actor, then that is a bad reason. An Obi-Wan movie should be made when they have a great story for it with or without Ewan. A bad story is a bad story even with Ewan.

Also thought the Knights of Ren discussion was a bit annoying. Just because they were mentioned in Ep7 doesnt mean that Rian Johnson through them out by only mentioning them in Ep8. It is a trilogy, they didnt fit in with Ep8 and now with Snoke gone they fit in perfectly well in Ep9. Kylo will need his right hand(s).

 

This rather sums up my feelings.
I like Harloff (usually) and I don't know if he has something else going or if the Schmoedown is draining him and leaving him more cranky at times, but he's just been a bore on the Council of late.

The Council without Ken right now is usually just boring as hell.

 

Quite some nonsense by Maude Garrett there... Lame rant on Adam Driver.

 

Did she really say she hated him, because he didn't get her puns? Wut?

 

Yes... He wasn't amused by her puns during an interview. Frankly, I don't blame him. Besides, he's a serious and quiet person, not somebody you should expect to joke around with during a press junket interview. Journalists should know that.

She also made fun of his face and concluded he's the worst Star Wars villain. Yeah, sure, not a biased opinion at all...

 

Well, there's the new kid. Believe me, that'll put a cramp in your day.

 

True, so maybe he should take some time off from Jedi Council. Think it was last week without him and it was a better show.

 

I forgot about the kid actually.
He should stick to behind the camera for a bit. He's a good voice in the community but he feels stretched thin.

The show will be there for him later.

I thought that was quite awful and so unprofessional of her. These presenters should set an example and never disrespect actors or director or filmmakers. We have enough of that rubbish in the fandom...

 

Seriously. This only continues to open up the door for people to attack the actors. At the end of the day some actors are actually really big fans of the franchise and some just view it as a job. Adam seems to fall more in the later group and that is totally fine. His job is to just play his character as best he can and if that is all he wants to contribute to the fandom then I am OK with with.

 

Exactly. Who cares if Adam Driver is a fan or not, or about his personality, or his looks? He’s just doing his job and this lady should do the same instead of being judgey and worrying about an actor not entertaining her bad jokes. So pathetic.

But hey, she made a bad call. It happens to all of us. I just hope she cops on soon and apologises or something, much more considering what poor Kelly Marie Tran had to put up with.. Maude Garret seems nice and I’m sure she eventually will acknowledge she was out of order.

She said all that garbage in the latest collider Jedi council episode with Christian Harloff and Ken (can’t remember surname) about cancelling g Stand alone movies. It’s all In the last chunk of the program as far as I remember.

Mmm yeah. I’m just giving her the benefit of the doubt I suppose... It just came out of nowhere in the programme. Kind of clumsy too... As a woman I just hate seeing another woman making a mug of herself like that.

 

I mean these people are all very aware of the current issues in the fanbase and have been vocal about being against all the hate so it's just pouring gas on the fire and hurting their own credibility when they say stuff like this.

 

Disney should put their serial films on hold and learn how to actually craft a movie trilogy. Calling Kevin Feige for lessons won't help, because Star Wars is an entirely different animal than the MCU. And latter has made its share of serious mistakes, especially in the past three years.
