1,000 years after RotJ. Total reinvention of everything. That would be great.

Or 2,000 years before ANH. Some great old comics there from DH but this would use what we have now from the PT, TCW and the ST about ancient Jedi.

But I like going forward more - waaaaay forward. I'd say even design a new logo for it and make it it's own thing. You have a host of existing planets, aliens, the back history, the Force, the essential motifs and themes. Just...do something radically different. I'd love to see 3 Jedi Orders: Light, Gray, Dark, all working in harmony. Light (counsel only) Gray (neutral -- could go either way) balanced Dark (proactive in the outer world) and other forms of Force use and other kinds of spiritual warriors and paths. So much could be done -- NO intergalactic civil war, rebels, smugglers etc. -- all played out and quite boring now to me -- at least as they've been frozen since WEG in the 80's. There's so much eastern literature that could be drawn from that's all very Star Wars (The Three Kingdoms. Shanameh, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Journey to the West) and other epics/myths/sagas from around the world that could be mined for inspiration.

I know we'll never ever get that but that's what I'd like best.

And if they did novels, slow down the turn-around so authors have a full 12 months to write the books, so they'll be well written and carefully worked out.

    Sigh....never :(

I would love to see a series focused around privateering, when the Rebels/New Republic relied on "gray" characters to basically act as pirates, hitting enemy supply lines and resources. Would allow seeing many worlds, + present interesting scenarios for decisions and conflicts.

If they don't do a stand alone Bounty Hunter movie I'd love to see a canonised series based on Fett and other hunters.

Fett escapes the sarlac, badly injured, and finds his way to an old abandoned house in the dunes (relics and books point to this being Ben Kenobi's dwelling - a nice touch for the fans)

During the start of long recovery from his injuries there is a sharp rise in new hunters.

Fett is discovered by Tattooine's informants/spies.

The Hutt's, hell bent on seeking revenge over the death of Jabba, place a large bounty on Fett's head for not protecting Jabba.

Hoping to bring that bounty home the likes of Bossk, Dengar, Tattooine's most dangerous and an elite group of rogue storm troopers all seek out Fett.

Saved from his first attack, at the hands of a gang of Tattooine misfits, by an army of Jawa's. Fett is taken in......to be sold.

Badly injured, without weapons and mentally destroyed Fett manages a desperate escape from the Jawa's (a comical moment where he is attacked by a group of angry and unarmed Jawa's).

He makes his way across the dunes and passes out. Waking up and surrounded by Tuskan Raiders he quickly realises he is in the middle of their main camp with no escape. A weakened Fett attempts to fight once again but is abruptly stopped by an old business patner from his early days.......the king of the sand people.

Fett talks with the king, a much more advanced individual from his race, and is welcomed. He is offered refuge as an act of friendship for past deeds.

    Fett recovers and trains hard.

Rogue storm troopers track Fett down and a large battle ensues between Fett, the sand people and these highly toughened and seasoned troopers.

The sand people are wiped out. Many of the troopers are killed and Fett escapes to seek revenge on the last few troopers that were left.

Fett seeks out Slave 1 and leaves Tattooine......followed by Bossk.

Amongst that essay I would have Fett taking down groups of hunters but eager to hunt down and kill the main 5 (Boosk, Dengar, 4-Lom, Zuckass and IG-88). Fett actually captures IG-88 and reprograms him. Fett confronts the Hutt's, explains that Jabba was his friend and informs them that the Jedi was responsible for Jabba's death. Fett holds up and robs an imperial credits reserve to fund his seek and kill mission.

Let me know what you guys think and if it's worth doing a bit of fan fiction on my drawing tablet :)

Remember how Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor was supposedly Matthew Stover's love letter to the earliest EU stuff, like the Brian Daley books and the original run of Marvel comics? I'd like to see a similar sort of homage to the Bantam-era EU novels. I would absolutely adore a story involving either Han, Luke, and Leia in the years after ROTJ but before everything went to hell, or Rey, Finn and Poe set after IX (or between TLJ and IX if we get the substantial time jump that a lot of people are speculating) that takes the tone of one of those novels from the 90s. And I'd love it even more if they did a Struzan-style movie poster cover the way they always used to. Those books were often pretty goofy and the stakes were usually low by today's standards, but that stuff still feels like some of the Star Wars-iest Star Wars to me.

I quite like that idea @Darth Yoda Kenobi! I especially like how you have Boba getting mistaken for a droid and captured by the Jawas again, just like in Legends. I think it could be cool if Boba could try to persuade Bossk to join him, as we saw that Bossk was a friend and protector to Boba in TCW, so Fett may have an ally there.

Something that I would like to see for the new canon in general is an actual series. Not just trilogies like Aftermath and potentially Thrawn, but an actual series. In one of his recent QNA Videos, Alex from Star Wars Explained came up with a pretty good idea for a series of books. It could be about Luke and Lor San Tekka traveling the galaxy looking for Jedi artifacts and starting his own Jedi academy. I'd like that quite a lot. Previously, I thought that we should get that as a TV series, but this idea might be better tailored for a book series.

The first book could start after the Battle of Jakku, showing how Luke met Lor San Tekka. The series could continue with Skywalker and Tekka traveling the galaxy finding artifacts and more information about the Force. Luke could start finding Force-sensitive individuals to train and begin his academy. We could see how Ben Solo was sent to train him and why. Maybe we could even see his turn and the final book could be in the aftermath of the destruction of the new Jedi and how Luke went to Ahch-To.

A 6 issue Canon/Legends crossover would be fun! Like those old Marvel/DC crossovers!

My Idea Is A Book Called Stranded. It Follows Coleman Trebor And His Apprentice Between Episodes 1 And 2 Crashing On A Planet. Their Communication Systems And Ship Are Too Far Damaged To Do Anything, So They Try To Survive On This Planet, Eventually, Zam Wessel Comes To The Planet To Collect Pay But Her Payer Is Dead, She Then Tries To Hunt Down The Killers And Even Kills Coleman Trebor’s Apprentice, But In The End, Gets Her Ship Stolen By Coleman And Ends Up Calling Another Bounty Hunter To Pick Her Up, Which Is Jango Fett, Who Gives Her The Task Of Killing Padme, Trebor Goes Back To Corascant And Reports His Findings To Master Yoda Who Tells Him Not To Tell Anybody About This New Planet Since It Could Be Useful Of Anything Happens To The Jedi, The Book Then Ends Revealing The Planet To Be Dagobah

I Also Have A Comic Miniseries Idea About An Admiral In The Empire Collecting Ancient Sith Artifacts (Basically Flipped Dr. Aphra) This Could Re-Canonize Some Ancient Sith Like Most Of Your Favorites: Darth Revan And My Personall Favorite: Darth Malgus

I think we'd all like to see Prime Jedi get his own books/comics now. Qui Gon is long overdue for a book trilogy, especially now that we know more about his extracurricular activities :)

    1. A book about the First Order Blitz, not centred on our heroes from TLJ and TFA.
    2. A book about Kylo and The Knights of Ren set just before the events of TFA
    3. A sequel to Battlefront Twilight Company featuring the war post ROTJ with special emphasis on the revelation in Lost Stars that in a short time there were many Emperors who fought each other.
4 A book about the Death Troopers that is almost like the plot of COD Black Ops 3 :p
