I smiled so hard knowing that Hera makes it through rebels and becomes a general. I thought the Evazan/baba cameo was a bit dumb. They must have immediately jumped on a ship and left for that mos eisely bar.

We don't know that. Vader is a pretty powerful dude and might have evil castles all over the galaxy.

I know!! It would be awesome if she does. And at the end of the day, she is not the one that concerns me from the Rebels crew - since she is not FS. The ones I worry about are Kanan and Ezra.

I saw a bunch of easter eggs here mentioned, but not all obviously.

-Wilhem scream in Jedha
-The Dejarik made of wood,
-the Death Star Plans
-the rebel pilots from ANH
-Ponda Baba and Cornelius
-Robot 3B6- RA-7
-EF76 Nebulon-B
-Obi Wan and Emperor references
...

Some people here seems to discuss the Biggs and Wedge thing here.

I really think i saw Biggs up there. I think i saw that cool moustache over Scarif. For me was pretty clear but would like to confirm with a second view.

And a friend of mine thought he saw Wedge in Yavin IV but in the end told me probably he was crazy. By the way, the "look at the size of that thing" don't implies he doesnt know about it. He just doesn't see it yet, like all rebels.

 

I thought the same thing.. the mustache was rather pronounced, but the helmet decoration was entirely different

depends on what you define as "victory" They achieved their objective, and survived their first major fleet engagement with the Empire... that alone would be considered a victory in my book.

Nobody said it was a major victory... but a win, certainly, as far as "objective achieved"... in millennial speak, you didn't get any of the bonuses, but you advance to the next level

For the propaganda, "we went on their home turf, smacked them hard and stole the plans... we are real" That alone would bring in some systems that were on the edge about it feasibility of the rebellion

First time poster...! Lucky enough to get to the media screening at Leicester Square on Tuesday evening where Red Leader's first line got a round of applause!

Did I dream seeing Boussh in the scene where Bodhi is first captured by Saw's team?

 

Okay, I just got back from my second viewing and paid extra attention to potential Wilhelm Screams: Neither caught the one on Jedha nor the one on Scarif, and I actually don't think they would put in more than one. The trooper falling from the platform on Eadu was NOT the WS (unless they massively modified the audio) but I think I may have heard it when the TIE crashed into the control room.

I'm afraid it will again take me a 3rd viewing to find it for sure

Can I ask you something...Could you please pay an extra attention to the Twi'lek sitting in a table on Saw Gerrera's headquarters? I'm not sure whether is some Clone Wars/Rebels character...

Death Star upside down...Could it be a little reference to 2001 Space Oddissey? (ala George Lucas in Watto’s junkyard - Episode I)

 

Agreed. It was a strategic victory, but my goodness was it ever bloody (for both sides). The Mon Cal flag ship doesn't escape, Rogue One is wiped out, numerous fighter pilots are shot down, but the Empire does lose the shield, the base, 2 Star Destroyers, countless ground troops and fighters as well and the plans are captured. It didn't really feel like a victory at the end.

 

I just heard the "random" yelling noise he makes that can also be heard in the trailers. But sitting in the cinema in the midst of a climatic battle going on onscreen, such little thing can be overheard quite easily.
Speaking of which, I noticed the turrets of the shield ring station at Scarif have the same sound effects as in the trailers, it's the same sound that was used for the turrets on Starkiller base in TFA, too. I love those little things that tie everything together.

I noticed the four-note "Death Star motif" twice in Tarkin's first scene as he's looking at the Death Star. It's at the beginning of this scene in ANH:

 

Not definitively, Jyn might have had some eggs harvested and frozen in carbonite right before leaving for Scarif.
