Could the Legends of Luke Skywalker book be giving us more insight into Luke's recent past?

Bit of a caveat, these are legends told by other people, so they could be either Luke or not or just made up stories being passed through out the galaxy

There are about 6 stories in the book but there are two that REALLY stuck out to me:

    Story 1:

First one that is recalled is Luke being on Jakku after the Battle of Jakku and is staring down a downed AT-AT and sees an injured man. Luke was on Jakku searching for the Observatory that was being guarded by people in "crimson robes" in search of Palpatine's Contigency plan, Luke finds an injured man and helps him, they find the Observatory destroyed by Admiral Sloane and Luke tells the man "The Force is with Us. We are one with the Force" <--- Sound Familiar? The guy then asks him if he is really Luke Skywalker and the man responds "We are all Luke Skywalker", but the ending is vague enough to guess whether or not it's really Luke

    Story 2:

This is told by a man from a planet named Lew'el who are devoted to a form of the Force called the Tide, the planet is described very much like Ahch-To and the people are isolated from the Galaxy. Luke is trying to understand the Force more so he goes exploring the planet and meets an elder named Elder Kailla, who agrees to teach Luke their ways on the grounds he uses this knowledge to teach others, which Luke says he's been trying to understand the Force/Tide more so he can teach students the ways of the Force. He unlearns what he learned from Yoda and in training he learns to breath underwater and riding wind-trusters and at the end of this training Luke says "trust that sometimes to yield is not to surrender but to dissolve the ego in the grand web that connects all to all”

This could explain why Luke says "it's time for the Jedi to end", he has so much knowledge of the Force that he sees past the dogmatic nature of the Jedi and their failings to see that the Force is much bigger (as he says in the teaser) and he believes the end of the conflict in the Force is by embracing a much larger view of the Force.

    Hmm, perhaps it is recent.

Him staring out at the downed AT-AT is clearly a reference to Rey’s home which we see in TFA, perhaps he sensed her (or something familiar) to some extent?

"This is where my daughter/niece will live". That's what he thought.

To me, this sound more like someone who follows Luke's teachings.

    I really like this.

This is great news (if true). I love how he keeps an open mind and is willing to learn from whoever has useful information. A true master never stops being a student.

I love this. And "sometimes" is what really makes it great.

    I agree completely.

Nah, it's clearly the future home of some random person, who despite living similar to our 2 previous related protagonists who also lived on an arid world, is totally unrealated at all.

    Because, better story:confused:.

Its billed as a bunch of Tall Tales. Its hard to know what if anything in them is true.

Though the whole thing about rhe Force being bigger than light and dark. I mean ok, thats fine. However why does that mean the Jedi mrist end? I mean I doubtt all Force users are going to want to spend rheir entire life studying every little detail about the Force. Why can't the Jedi be a sect of that? ,Training to use the Force to defend those in need. I mean it doesnt need to be all or nothing.
