SPECULATION Crazy Fan Theory: Tar Viszla = NEU Revan

    So hear me out on this one. Tar Viszla = Revan

    1) They both wear Mandalorian mask.

    2) This actually gives a reason for Revan fighting the Mandalorians. He knows first hand the brutality his people could inflict upon the Galaxy should they conquer it. At the same time though, he himself is influenced by this heritage, which ultimately leads him down the Darkside.

    3) "Revan," could be a Mandalorian word meaning something like, "traitor." Now there's some poetry when he takes the name as his Darth title.

    4) It gives the Jedi a reason to lock the saber away. It belonged to a dreaded Sith Lord after all.

    5) It'd just be cool I guess.

    Is it just me, or would any inclusion of Revan in New Canon be awesome? This particular theory would be pretty cool. Pablo and Dave Filoni both have said that they look at legends material to see if what they're looking for already exists. But then the question is would they change Revan's story to something like this fan theory, or would they want to stay true to the source material?

    I like it. Revan is far too interesting and popular to be scrapped to Legends entirely.

    This, until proved otherwise, is now headcanon. And it gives them a way to create a show based on both Mandalore and Jedi in the future!

    I love it, and as you said it would make sense. I would love to see that reveal later on, either in rebels or one of the films, the story of the Mandalorian Jedi who fell to the dark side and took the name Darth Revan...mmmm. Plus it would add to Revan's legacy that he was the one to craft the Darksaber.
