    Well she couldn't have her hidden children named "Amidala" now. The name was too well known.
    Not that she gave them their full names anyway...
    She certainly didn't decide to name her daughter "Leia Organa"


    No... Rey continues it on.
    She and her children keep the name Skywalker.

    Why is it so difficult to understand?

    Give the name Skywalker to your child whatever ? Just between married yourself as much as you can and abandonned your child as soon as you can ( but before you name them Skywalker ) ??

    Well I hope you don't write fiction in made up worlds where real-world naming conventions don't need to apply...

    Bad writing is having Ben the sole heir to the Skywalker line. Redemption comes with a cost, especially with what he has done.
